Guy Morris has led an extraordinary life. After escaping an abusive childhood at age 13 to become a homeless runaway, Guy worked alongside migrant workers before he earned three degrees by age 25, including acceptance to Harvard MBA and a scholarship from University of Arizona. Recognized for his innovations in building a macro-economic that out-performed the Federal Reserve and changed how economic models are built. 

After working with IBM and Burroughs in main frame computer manufacturing, his career led him to international Occidental Petroleum where he pioneered adoption of early-stage AI systems and supported business deals worth billions.

Goodstein is the author of three books: Economics and the Environment, now in its ninth edition; Fighting for Love in the Century of Extinction: How Passion and Politics Can Stop Global Warming; and The Trade-off Myth: Fact and Fiction about Jobs and the Environment. Articles by Goodstein have appeared in among other outlets, The Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Land Economics, Ecological Economics, and Environmental Management.

His research has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Scientific American, Time, The Economist, USA Today, and The Chronicle of Higher Education. He serves on the editorial board of Sustainability: The Journal of Record.

Goodstein has coordinated many national and international climate educational engaging thousands of colleges, universities, and K-12 schools in solutions-based dialogue, most recently WorldWide Climate and Justice Education Week in April 2024.

This was such a great conversation. In today's show I speak with Kara Goodwin, the host of the Meditation Conversation Podcast. 

Meditation brings us back to the moment and can help transform our brain chemistry with certain techniques while being present can help calm many charged issues. 

Kara Goodwin is a meditation and spiritual transformation coach, host of The Meditation Conversation podcast, energy healer, and beekeeper. She was drawn to meditation after a tragic year which brought many losses in quick succession. It felt as though her whole reality shifted, and she dedicated herself to learning the art of meditation. Through her deepening practice of meditation she has opened herself up to a strong connection with Source. In the years since she has been meditating and guiding others on their journeys, she has uncovered latent energy healing capabilities and experiences frequent unexplainable phenomena (visions, journeys into multidimensional realms, inner knowings verified in the external environment, insights). Education needs to radically change or we are failing ourselves and our futures.

It should inform and develop the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. So when we are finished, we are ready for adulthood. It should provide tools on how to be an adult and navigate the world. If not, what is the point of education? To only feed the intellect while remaining undeveloped in every other way? 

Just look at the world with its argument and blame. Is this an emotionally developed world or one stuck in victimhood?

Take a listen. Together we change the world to the one that’s in our hearts.
