The Downright Nerdy Podcast

Today's episode is halfway brought to you by ComicManAndy, one of the hosts of Pinky's Out Podcast. He is currently running a giveaway on his YouTube channel and in order to enter he asked that we make a video listing some of our favorite dad jokes. So our Meat & Potatoes will consist of a healthy serving of dad jokes! Also, I got a flood of incredibly entertaining Riley memes from the picture of her reacting to being proposed to. We'll be sharing all of them and she'll be choosing some of her favorites!

This is not click bait. You heard it right. This episode marks the beginning of the end for my assistant-to-the-host Riley Sloan. It has been a great ride, but this has been a long time coming. Don't be sad. Every journey must have its end. And with that end, marks the beginning of a new journey. I'm sure you all will join me in helping usher Riley into this new journey...BOOM!!!

We made it to our 50th episode. A bit surreal and unbelievable considering how this all started out. We got the idea for the title/topic of this episode from Comics With Bueller when he suggested making an Origin Story video based on how we got into the comic book/pop culture/podcasting communities. How we started our own show and how it has affected our lives. It's only appropriate that we invited back to the show, our dear friends Aman and Chandler - two nerds themselves who are raising 3 children who are just discovering the joys of comic books and nerdom. These two have been our longest fans and we're so happy they could join us!
