3. Let God rescue us in His way and timing – Surrender to God’s plan, even when it differs from our expectations.

This week’s sermon, led by Chris MacQuoid and Missy MacPhail, begins the Simply Jesus series, exploring how God’s divine interruptions shape our lives. Drawing from Luke 1, the message emphasizes three transformative truths:

We are finally going to finish Genesis today. Today, we are going to take a whole bunch of thoughts and throw them into one big bowl—the equivalent of the Bible's "goulash."

In the last chapter of most books, the author tries to wrap things up by saying, "This is what is important!" and "This is what I want you to know!"

How do you “change the outcome” of your family for future generations? How can you “Pass on” a Godly legacy to your family; to your kids and grandkids? What Blessings can you pass on to your children and grandchildren for ages to come? How do you pass down blessings?

Who you are in private will determine what you do in public. You can’t fake your character; if you don’t have it in private, you won’t have it in public.

• If you lack integrity in private, you will lack integrity in public.

• If you are dishonest in small things, you will be dishonest in great things.

Has your life turned out the way you thought it would? Did you get the job you thought you would get? Has your romantic life gone the way you thought it would go? Has your marriage gone the way you thought it would go? Are your kids doing the things you want/wish they would do? Have the people in your life been as faithful to you as you thought they would be? Have you been as faithful to others as you should have been? Have you been as faithful to God as you said you would? Has God been faithful to you?

Genesis 45-47 is this incredible moment in the life of Joseph and Jacob where all of a sudden, God redeems their brokenness and blesses their faithfulness.
