Mr Vlahovic continues his quest to serve others by starting BaseABLE, a recognized non-profit organization that supports and funds organizations wanting to offer baseball to individuals with disabilities. He has worked in the rehabilitation and mental health fields for over thirty years and continues to learn and grow as a health professional and coach.

In the episode we focus on how life is after an accident and what it’s like after being a professional baseball player that played for the Boston Red Sox and how he turned the love of baseball into a dream for all.

Tony Vlahovic, MA. CSCS, MPM is a former professional athlete and experienced entrepreneur in the fields of sports mental conditioning and post rehabilitation therapy. He is the Chairman of the Special Olympics North America Baseball Development Committee. He is a number 1 selling author for his book Just Need an Opportunity.

Mr. Vlahovic started his professional baseball career in Italy where he was named his team’s Rookie of the Year. Upon returning to the United States he signed with the Boston Red Sox where he played as a left-handed pitcher. His career prematurely ended due to an auto accident, but has since dedicated his life to teaching, coaching and leading his athletes on and off the field. His efforts were rewarded by receiving Coach of the Year five times for his New Hope-Solebury varsity high school baseball team and was nominated as the Special Olympics North American Coach of the Year in 2014.

Mr Vlahovic continues his quest to serve others by starting BaseABLE, a recognized non-profit organization that supports and funds organizations wanting to offer baseball to individuals with disabilities. He has worked in the rehabilitation and mental health fields for over thirty years and continues to learn and grow as a health professional and coach.

On this week's episode we have Richard Bouknight , he is a Senior Professional Barber. He has been in this profession for the past 35 years. He is the owner of Richards, located in Norristown, PA.. He is also the founder of Have Clippers Will Travel, which provides hair cuts to those shut in at nursing home facilities, community shelters, and so much more.

In this episode, we talk about how the Black barbershop has always played a key role in mentoring Black men. He shares with us on this episode that it is more than just cutting hair. He is the extended family to some of the young men growing up, from helping them figure out life situations to hearing about their accomplishments.

Rich dives into the changes in family dynamics, male support in the home and how technology is impacting even the local barbershop community. Dive into this episode and just listen to the impact he is having around the young and old generations that come to his shop.
