She's also my sister, which I think is her best accomplishment yet. All jokes aside, she knows how to kick butt when it comes to goal setting and she teaches us to finish 2019 with a bang.

It's been a while since we last posted an episode. First of all, can we just say: we missed you. The first few months of this project has been so incredible and we are just getting started. As summer creeped up on us, we both felt called to turn our attention to our friends and family, connect with nature and disconnect. It was wonderful, but now we're back.

Safe to say, we spend an incredible amount of time in our cars. Especially if you're like me and you love driving! On average, we spend about 13 hours a week on the road. It got me thinking... If I'm trying to design my dream life and be my best self, what am I doing with those 13 hours a week? And yes, I thought about this in the car (of course!). I've since create a top ten list of things to do in your car that I want you to try! Let's replace that mind chatter and the negative stressful thoughts with something that will light you up!

It may come as no surprise that I adore holidays. What’s not to love? Great food, no work, amazing company, making memories, high spirits, music, and the list goes on and on. I understand that everyone might not share this same passion with me. Family dynamics, already hectic schedules, financial situations, etc... That being said, I think that the real power of holidays isn’t in how perfect they are but in their ability to gather people together and influence people to be present/in the moment. It got me thinking, why stick to the existing holidays? Why not create our own? 

When spring time comes around, I get all "new me" vibes. You know what I mean?! It’s definitely a time when I love to plant some seeds, reflect back on what I want to bring with me as I move forward and when I get to dream up fun yummy goals to put into motion. I’ve been doing this for the last couple of weeks (loving it by the way, ugh it feels so good!). In the last weeks, we covered spring cleaning your life and fun exercises to help you picture your dream mentors. This week, it's all about lessons learned. When I got to the part about reflecting back, I realized that there are 3 amazing little nuggets that I want to share with you. Here we go!

It was my birthday last week! Along with celebratory drinks and even better company, there is something I can always count on when my birthday comes around. Spoiler alert: it happens to you too. My solution to this problem? Finding mentors. Oprah defines a mentor as "someone who allows you to see the hope in yourself". We couldn't have said it better ourselves! Tune in to figure out how to find the right mentors for you and why it's such a magical exercise, even if you don't act on it after.

When I first heard about what these guys were doing, I jumped out of bed (true story) and looked at my boyfriend with this overwhelmed look painted all over my face, got all animated and started yelling: "These guys know what life is all about! When we think spring, we think spring cleaning. Okay, and taxes but let's stay positive, shall we? In today's episode, we'll be talking to you about how to spring clean your life, a well needed detox if you will. If we're being real, we do this a few times a year, so no need to wait for the birds to start chirping again to get a little (inner) house keeping done. Speaking of houses, we know you got the skills when it comes to going all Marie Kondo on your home. So we won't even bother you with that. We're going to be focusing on steps you need to do to reset, refresh and set yourself up for an incredible summer. And life. 

We have to start by saying, we are kind of obsessed with this concept. When hearing communal living, your first instincts might be "um, yeah no. I want my own space and I don't want to share my home with other people". We get it. In fact, that was our first reaction too. But we bet that after listening to this episode, you will just tweak a couple of things and adore communal living, the way we do.
