The Dreaded Theologian Podcast

Bonus episode! I wanted to take a minute to share a little testimony about what the Lord is showing me as I recover from surgery. Lamentations 3:19-32 is the passage I have been reading and meditating on and I encourage you all to take some time to read it for yourselves.

This week we're continuing the series Confessions of a Preachers Kid  with my good friend, and fellow preachers kid, pastor Austin White. In this episode Austin and I share about our experiences growing up as preachers kids and both the good and bad that came from that. Austin and I had a lot to say so this is only part 1 of his time on the show.

I'm starting a short series called "confessions of a preachers kid" where friends and I take a look at what life was like growing up, well, a preachers kid. To start off this series I thought it was only fair that I share a brief version of my testimony with you all. I really could talk for hours about the faithfulness of God in my life but for this episode I just wanted to focus on what I felt was most relevant to listeners. I hope you all enjoy and that you're excited for what's to come in this series!

In this episode I give a brief overview of the beliefs of Arminianism and Calvinism along with a short commentary on each. This isn't meant to be exhaustive but to get the conversation started.

In this episode I will be reading a chapter from my upcoming book, Holy? Whatever Happened to the Holiness of God. This is going to help set the tone for the rest of our conversations about the Holiness of God and give you a look into my writing style. I hope that you're encouraged and stick around for Part 3!

In this episode I share my theory for what makes Marvel movies so popular. Sit back, give it a listen, and join in on the conversation about the Marvel method!

I'm sorry for taking such a long and unexpected break. But I am back and ready to dive into more conversations!

This episode is for the girls! Sorry, I won't be singing Martina McBride but I will be speaking directly to the ladies. On this episode I share my heart for why it's important for women to read and study scripture, know Christian doctrine, and understand truth. There are a lot of lies out in the world targeting women and sadly many of them are creeping into the Church. Ladies, it's time to know the truth that sets us free and to be able to stand on it!

On this episode we start a conversation on Jesus's Sermon on the Mount (found in Matthew 5-7). I am honored to have my first guest come on the show to kick off this series. Dr. Samuel W. "Dub" Oliver is the President of Union University in Jackson TN. In this episode Dr. Dub gives us an overview of the famous "Beatitudes" found in Matthew 5:1-12 and also lets us know what oversized fruit he would make into a home if he could. Join in on the conversation now!
