Coach Brown (Weezy) and Tom went to JMU together. Brown has recently started coaching soccer. So we discuss his experience coaching kids soccer and how that led to him wanting to become more of a coach in life. We discuss his life philosophy, which is the PUSH-UP mentality. He talks a lot about this philosophy, where if he catches himself watching too much TV or something, he'll do a couple of pushups, but also he abstracts that mindset. He really tries to push himself in everything he does in life and is always reaching for the next level. Another big topic of this conversation was faith, religion, and spirituality.  Brown catches Tom up on his spiritual journey. We discuss what it means to be spiritual and what it means to have God in your life.

Sai Pedireddi returns for his second time on the podcast (episode #28). However, this time he has brought his uncle Sai Kalyan.  Sai Kalyan is a yoga instructor. He conducts happiness, yoga, and meditation workshops, where he teaches people to overcome stress through powerful breathing techniques. Thus helping them lead a joyful, peaceful, and productive life.  So we discuss meditation and yoga for the first half of the episode. We even practiced a breathing technique in the middle of our conversation. Sai Kalyan also has a passion for cinematography and photography.  He saved up for a professional quality movie camera and started a media company. Sometimes he rents out his camera and sometimes he directs or produces his own films. So we do a deep dive into his cinematography experience during the second half of the episode. Hafiz Bhuyan is the Co-Founder of Drivense a company that creates virtual business cards. Tom knows Hafiz through the society of entrepreneurs at JMU. 

We discuss his startup, they started off wanting to create a platform for online textbooks before they pivoted to create virtual business cards. Now they do create physical business cards. They are scannable and once scanned will pull up the virtual business card. They have also developed an app for storing virtual business cards.

We also talked a lot about history, specifically, Hafiz is interested in Julius Caesar and Napoleon. Then we focused on leadership and made comparisons between historical figures and then certain startups and tech founders. Pat and Bernie Driver are Tom's grandparents on his dad's side. This interview took place back in August of 2021, Tom interviews them about their entire life, starting out with their childhood and going through their years as parents and then grandparents. They discuss what it was like for them growing up in the 1940s and 1950s. They talked about Tom's grandfather's career, he worked on some of the earliest computers, working on early versions of software and the computer's hardware. He also loves to work on cars. So they discuss automobiles for a while. Tom's grandmother won a beauty contest so they talk about that experience. They discuss raising kids and what makes a good parent and even their experience raising Tom because they spent a lot of time with Tom when he was a baby. They also own several properties. So they talk about their experience as landlords and what it takes to manage properties. They talk about their involvement with their church and what it takes to live a healthy life and maintain a healthy relationship.

Tom and blasé discuss the 2022 Grammys Nomination lists. They look at the major categories and pick their favorite nomination and the one they believe is most likely to win the award.
