On this episode of The Drive with Paul Swann, Paul talks with Chris Dickerson of the West Virginia Record about a federal lawsuit involving Marshall University and Ohio University student-athletes challenging the NCAA’s new five-seasons-in-five-years eligibility model. The athletes, who began college in 2022 and used four seasons of competition under the previous rules, argue they were unfairly excluded from receiving a fifth season. Dickerson discusses the lawsuit, the athletes’ legal claims and what the case could mean for college athletes, schools and the NCAA as the eligibility rules continue to change.
