This beef is bullshit, we all know it !  Shady records acting like this isn't some sort of publicity stunt, slash marketing  scheme .. We all know beef is good for business, shit,  even I'm talking about it..

What I don't understand is;  Why are artists so underhanded these days? Why treat your audience like fools?

I really didn't want to bite (excuse the pun) but things have been brewing In me and talking about shit is always helpful.. Watching Snoop and Charlamagne talk smack about Em: the Talib Kweli Podcast being on some race blah-blah and even Lord Jamar talking shit.

Ok, let's talk about it !

So, I've known J.Mac for a very long time. Me , J  and P-link actually worked together for close to 5 years.. They were in the kitchen and and was behind the bar.. I just wanna say that J.Mac and P-Link would cook the best steak and parmas I've ever had in my life.. Dudes cheffin' skills are as tight as their rhymes . haha

When J.snitzl agreed to do the podcast I was happy as. Just because i know He's a solid bloke, a funny character, who's always smiling and just down help out his homies.

In this episode we talk about his new E.P that's dropping soon called Monumental Exchange. The project sounds amazing as his homie Eduaz who's from Chile (Viva La Chile) , tears shit up in Spanish and J fucks shit ups in English.. It just works, so If you haven't peeped it yet : go to Spotify and check that shit out..

For all other info, tune in.... We had a couple of technical difficulties. We couldn't go through the Anchor app , so I just rang the homie and recorded it through the RodeCaster.. The episode's raw as hell and J's authentic as a ma-fuka ... I hope you guys can look past the technical difficulties because the conversation is fire...

The support for the Musty podcast has been extremely overwhelming .. I was a bit hesitant to follow it up with a poddy with just me on it but when I have something to say , It's just gotta be done.. After I recorded this one I kinda felt like i should of approached it differently.  Maybe just given you podcast recommendations in point form ? Dunno? Sometimes I just hit the record button and what happens happens ... Anyway, I hope you guys get something out of this , I make many a dope recommendation so if you're just getting into podcasts or you just need a push in the right direction, I got your back .. Get your pen and notepad out ; write this down ...

This weeks special guest is Melbourne's own - Must Volkoff aka Musty ,, I decided to name this episode ; A Man of Many Hats because he's not just a hip hop producer - He's a new found dad, a DJ, a graphic designer, a teacher, an accountant, etc ...

An artist who's an all rounder and someone I have a lot of respect for..

So sit back , relax, grab a snack, a drink or blaze another one.. I really hope you guys dig this.. I had a blast talking to the homie, editing the shit and posting it so you mo-fo's can hopefully get a bit more of an insight into the man , the myth, the legend, the man of many hats...

peace, d

After watching a hour and half of the 3 hour Joe Rogan - Yeezy podcast on YouTube , I had to chuck it on pause and express my opinions on this episode. Not only am I huge fan of the Joe Rogans Podfcasts (one of the biggest reasons i started this channel) but i'm also a huge Yeezy fan. Thing is ; I really struggled to watch this episode. Kanye doesn't seem to be doing that well, the craziest thing was Joe was actually saying shit like ; you seem fine to me ??

In this podcast I talk about doing a part 2 but we'll have to play that shit by ear. Watching the last hour and a half,  might be more challenging than I'd care to admit.

Have you guys seen it ? What do you guys think about that ep?

In this episode I talk about my experiences with English Hip Hop. Listening to groups in the 2000's like - Taskforce, Braintax, Phi Life Cypher, Jehst and many more. To what's happening in the UK right now, which is Drill. I've been listening to guys like Abra Cadabra , Dutchavelli, Nines, Morisson, Headie One , just to name a few but there are so many more.. I also talk about ; Terms & Conditions  - A UK Drill Story - which I found fascinating (If you haven't seen this dock, do yourself a favour and watch that shit - It's on YouTube and you can check it out for free) - It shows the beauty of the music, helping the youth get out of the PJ's, actually giving them some sort of hope.  It also shows; Mothers who have lost their kids to the senseless violence that comes attached to Drill Hip Hop Culture.  This post was a little bit all over the shop but if you're interested In aussie hip hop, the early days of English hip hop to Drill music, which is what's happening right now, I think you guys will appreciate this episode. Next week we talk to another Aussie Hip Hop producer. He's a record fiend with one of the best record collections in the country and his journey to starting a record label in 2020.  Stay tuned for that shit cos it'll be a banga..  Hope everyones doing well out there , Much respect to you and yours.... d

This week on The Drizlax Hip Hop Show I talk to Melbourne based Producer\Beat-maker 8th Dan. We talk about the success of his 45 single featuring Griselda affiliate EL Camino .. I always find the behind the scenes fascinating and I think a lot of you out there will also enjoy Dan's perspective in putting this 45 out. We also talk about the split project 12" that he did with Adelaide producer and record fiend ADMIN.. The 12" is one of the nicest looking releases IMO, from the obi, to the coloured vinyl, to the scratchies and dope tunes and remixes. The 12" actually feels more like an EP because it's so jam packed with substance. I talk to Dan about the 12 , working with Crimeapple and just future plans.

There's no denying that his skills are nice and I'm sure no matter what his next project is ; It'll be fire..

Personally I really loved talking to the homie, I feel like we have a lot in common and it was pleasure having him come through for a chat. The podcast was easy to edit and I feel like it really came out dope as hell.  #supportlocalartists
