A sincere apology to the boys that we were unable to get a pod out to y’all last week. We tried our best, but schedules just did not align. This week we are back in action. We start off with a very even tempered discussion of the Arizona Basketball news from last week (RIP Sean Miller). I know many of you may want to hear the real me and the raw emotions, but I thought it best to keep those locked away as deleted twitter drafts, because the things I have thought in my head have been less than kind. We then jump into the abysmal start to the Dbacks season and what to do about the MadBum problem. We follow that up with more positivity and discuss the James Conner signing for the Cards. Then we get into the Coyotes recent struggles and what they need to do to make a playoff push. The final sports team we cover is the red hot Phoenix Suns and how DA can elevate them to a contender. We saved the best for last and open up the Mailbox to answer fan questions!

It is the start of April and that can only mean one thing: Baseball is back! For this Opening Day special, we bring on young Jordan Bruner on the pod, to dish out his extensive baseball knowledge. We were doing the pod during the end of the Dbacks/Padres opener, so you get to our live reaction to the game 1 loss and what we liked/disliked. We talk mostly about the Dbacks and what to expect this year. We get into the gritty details of GM and managerial decisions and take a look back at Mike Hazen’s tenure as GM and if he is on the hot seat moving forward. We end the pod with a little Final Four matchup preview. It was a blast having Bruner on the pod and we thank him for taking the time out of his day to join us. As always, we do this for the boys.

We sleep in May! Springtime and sports just go hand in hand. On this weeks episode, we start off with discussions about the NBA trade deadline and how much harder the path to the finals just became for the Suns. Are they up for the challenge? We then get heavy into some Bird Talk, as we address the new look O-line and the Malcolm Butler signing. The legend Andrew McCain calls in fresh from dinner with Sophie (rumor has it her Bolognese is delicious) and gives his 10 point plan for a Cardinals SB run. Andrew managed to finish off his thoughts and immediately had to depart for an important business call, so we appreciate his time. We finish things off with Sweet 16 talk and what the upcoming weekend will look like in College Basketball.

This. Is. March. It is everyone’s favorite time of the year as the NCAA March Madness Tournament begins. Before we can get into the College Basketball spirit, however, there is SO MUCH AZ sports news to discuss. The Cards are going to look like a whole new team this season and we go deep into the signings (and departures) and what it means for the upcoming year. We then switch over briefly to the Suns to talk about their own recent acquisition and the role Torrey Craig will play on the team during the back half of the season. Things get a little less enthusiastic with a recap of the Coyotes miserable week against the Wild and we discuss what needs to change and if this team can make a run at the playoffs. The last bit of AZ sports we hit on is the Dbacks as they near the end of spring training and look forward to the opening day roster. Last, but certainly not least, we break down the opening round of the NCAA Tourney, game by game. This episode was one of the most fun episodes we have done and I hope it brings you all joy heading into the weekend.

Have you ever asked yourself if an individual can carry an entire episode of an amateur podcast by themselves? Well, I am here to tell you that with Connor Syracuse, the answer is absolutely yes. Unfortunately, due to headset connectivity issues, my microphone audio absolutely sucked and was super muted and hard to hear. As a result, most of my dialogue had to be cut. But do not fret, because Cuse provided both me and the boys with enough content to fill an entire episode almost entirely by himself. Arizona sports is on the rise! After years and years of pain and misery, good things are starting to come by way of the valley. We get right to the heart of it all. We start off with the red hot Phoenix Suns and their win over the fraudulent Lakers. Naturally, we discuss the BS Booker ejection and transition into the expectations for the season after the All-Star Break. We then jump over to even bigger news: The J.J. Watt signing! What does this mean for the Cards defense and even their playoff chances next season? Will Cuse and Alec have to eat their words of Kliff slander? We then get a short and sweet segment on the (lack of) dbacks bats at Spring Training. Finally, we finish the pod off with some Yotes discussion as they reach a critical stretch of the season.

Cuse takes a break between business calls and I woke up early in between a run of shifts, just so we could bring the boys a pod this week. We waste no time and get right into it. We talk Coyotes and the disappointing Kings series followed by the great Anaheim comeback. After that we discuss what is on everyone’s mind today: the Devin Booker snub. We also go into where we see the Suns season heading and potential playoff matchups. We finish with some quick Cards news and look forward to D-backs spring training.
