On this episode, Julia and Albert unveil a new era for The Dune Podcast.

We, the whole worldwide Dune community, are in the desert of Arrakis together now — sheltered with and regrouping in Stilgar’s Sietch Tabr, alongside our heroes Chani (Zendaya), Paul (Timothée Chalamet) and Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) — awaiting Part Two of our collective story to begin: meeting Irulan and Feyd, Jessica’s perilous Water of Life trial, and taking the fight to the Harkonnens, reclaiming Arrakis in the name of its Indigenous peoples. The next 3 episodes are also previewed, including, if schedules align, being joined by the mighty Greg Ruth himself (definitely check out his phenomenal work, both Dune and his other projects ), including episodes for Oscars predictions and reactions (Dune will pick up at least 5, but we’re manifesting 8, including Best Picture and Best Director for Denis ‘Filmer Of The Unfilmable’ Villeneuve ). In other words, it’s going to be a long, winding Maker-trail from here to Dune’s next chapter and beyond, including a photorealistic ‘Horizon Forbidden Arrakis’ style RPG title (looking at you, Guerrilla!) for us all, and there’s no better time than now — with new tidbits emerging regarding all Dune projects each week (thank you legacy guests Dune Info and Dune News Net for your ongoing coverage!) to burrow into our collective passion (Emilio!), curiosity and joy for this ever-deepening and expanding world, and seeing what the Spice reveals…

And of course, Hassan and Ralí (Secrets of Dune) are absolutely fated to one day take over the show for an episode (or more)…It, as they say, truly has begun.

“This film will change the face of cinema.” On our impromptu-recorded seventh episode, *everything* changed: the brilliant Julia,  aka ‘The Spice’ aka TwinPeaksCafe joined the Spicesifters crew — the show went fortnightly (episode 8 out August 22nd!) — and suddenly #SiftingTheSpice became a whopping 16-part series (from an initial 6, then 8), looking at both trailers *simultaneously*, in reference with one another, each ultimately enriching the other. Much joy and celebration is woven all throughout this one: a truly international, incredibly kindred meeting of pals (we miss you Hassan! Arrakis needs its venerated Iraqi representative, to make sure we’re correctly honouring Herbert’s Arabic source material), sharing what will one day be remembered (not just by us, but by history) as a very special night, with a certain magic in the air —a certain Spice on the wind — foretelling the soon-to-transpire changing of things…forever.
