The Duran Quick Take: Episode 293.
The Duran’s Alex Christoforou and Editor-in-Chief Alexander Mercouris discuss the Department of Justice's (DOJ) inspector general report that states fired FBI Director James Comey mishandled classified information. Michael Horowitz reported, in great detail, that James Comey leaked the contents of a classified memo to his legal team, first orally and then by providing a copy of the document. The memo’s content was also leaked to a media organization by Comey's lawyers.
IG Michael Horowitz declared Comey's conduct so egregious that it created a “dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees — and the many thousands more former FBI employees — who similarly have access to or knowledge of non-public information.”
Attorney General William Barr and his team of investigators are now sifting through documents trying to figure out what the Obama administration was up to during the 2016 US election.
