The Five Star Movement (M5S) and the Democratic Party (PD) agreed on Wednesday to form a government together under Giuseppe Conte. The alliance moves the anti-EU M5S into coalition with the pro-EU PD, a recipe for disaster.  The coalition under formation will collapse in short order and pave the way for a Salvini government in the near future.

President Trump, in a Monday press conference, suggested that China is ready to come to a trade deal, as Beijing has also signaled for a resolution to the ongoing and deepening dispute.

During the G7 press conference, US President Trump repeatedly complimented China's President Xi Jinping and insisted China "want[s] to make a deal" because it "can't lose three million jobs in a short period of time."

The Duran’s Alex Christoforou and Editor-in-Chief Alexander Mercouris break down the G7 summit held in France, where major disputes broke out among leaders when discussing Trump's stance that Russia be readmitted into the group. Trump stated openly that he would "certainly" invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to next G7 summit, which will most likely be held at his resort in Miami.

In a Monday press conference, President Trump also stated that there's a "good chance" he would meet personally with Iranian president Hassan Rouhani. Trump made the comments after French President Emanuel Macron surprisingly brought Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to the G7 meeting.

Macron went on to say he would arrange a Trump-Rouhani summit and said felt "an agreement can be met" if the meeting takes place.

Byrne claims that he received "fishy" orders to spy on Maria Butina in connection to the Trump-Russia investigation from former FBI official Peter Strzok.

The Duran Quick Take: Episode 287.

The Duran’s Alex Christoforou and Editor-in-Chief Alexander Mercouris discuss the unfolding case against Cambridge professor and reported FBI spy Stefan Halper, who is being sued by Russian-born academic, Svetlana Lokhova, for allegedly smearing her and former national security adviser Michael Flynn as part of a government conspiracy to bring down the Trump administration.

Halper declared in a recent court filing that he is entitled to legal immunity ordinarily afforded to federal agents, even if Lokhova's lawsuit allegations are true. This filing has Halper indirectly admitting to being an FBI spy.

"Private individuals who participate in FBI investigations are subject to the federal common law qualified immunity applicable to government agents," as well as constitutional protections, Halper's motion to dismiss asserted.

With less than 10 weeks before the October vote independent ethics commissioner Mario Dion said Trudeau improperly pressured his former attorney general to spare engineering firm SNC-Lavalin Group from a corruption trial. The scandal erupted in February and helped push Conservative candidate, Andrew Scheer, to the top in polls for several months. With no new developments or headlines, Trudeau's Liberal Party was recovering in the polls.

The 63-page report undermines Trudeau’s narrative, which is that he is a young and dynamic progressive on a mission to “do things differently” and more transparently in Canada.

Macron said he believed “Europe stretches from Lisbon to Vladivostok.” Macron the proceeded to blast US President Trump, saying that threats to multilateralism do not come from Moscow, but instead from Washington.

The Duran’s Alex Christoforou and Editor-in-Chief Alexander Mercouris discuss Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte's resignation in the Italian Senate, which effectively ends an odd and shaky Left-Right coalition government.

This now positions Matteo Salvini to become Italian Prime Minsiter if elections are held in the next couple fo weeks, or in the near future should the Left manage to piece together a caretaker government which will surely collapse in short order.
