Dr. Saraf graduated with Honors from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Neurophysiology. He subsequently obtained his master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University.

Dr. Saraf received his medical degree from the University of Miami before starting his training in General Surgery at Texas Medical Center, the largest medical facility in the world, including MD Anderson Cancer Center. He subsequently finished his residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then honed his training with a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Mr. Eugene Khorey was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1926 and grew up during the Great Depression. At age 18 , after High school graduation, during WW2  was inducted into the US Army as an infantryman in the 86th division. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Combat infantryman’s badge.

After the War , Eugene graduated from Edinboro State Teachers College with a degree in education.

He rose through the ranks in the Pittsburgh school system, becoming a Superintendent of the Pittsburgh’s North Side and West End schools which were undergoing racial strife at the time .

He opened the first new high school in 50 years in Pittsburgh which he racially integrated integrating 4 high schools into one….Brashear  High School.
