The Earth Keepers Podcast

Through events like baby blessings, coming of age ceremonies, marriage and renewal ceremonies, Rhiannon Belliveau helps to create vibrational catalysts not just for individual people, but for their entire families.

She envisions a world where women fiercely trust their inner knowing, walk sovereign in their power, and experience a life of authentic thriving through the path of wildly intentional motherhood.

In today's conversation we literally go to the source.

To the creation of our universe.

To remember that each of us are incredibly powerful creators, through sound.

Marya Stark's mystical, magical music always taps into a deep point of remembering in my body and my soul.

The memory of sound as the creation point of the universe.

In our conversation we talk about the ability of sound to rearrange reality. Or create new realities.

In this episode, I'm chatting with author, scholar of ancient history, and wildlife tracker Sylvia Linsteadt.

Sylvia's work—both fiction and non-fiction—is rooted in myth, ecology, feminism & bioregionalism, and is devoted to broadening our human stories to include the voices of the living land.

I worked with Sylvia a bit last summer as I was pulling all of the threads of Season 3 into a cohesive story and have also participated in some of her writing workshops, which I can highly recommend if you'd like to find a way to weave your shamanic journeys into the written word.

I just love the way she brings the ancient stories to life in our present lives.

We're kicking off Season 4 of The Earth Keepers podcast with an interview with author, poet, creative strategist and meme artist, James McCrae.

James is the author of two books - Shit Your Ego Says and How to Laugh in Ironic Amusement During Your Existential Crisis. You may already be following his Instagram account @wordsarevibrations where he shares his brilliant poems and illustrations, and memes.

James makes a compelling argument for why memes are the perfect form of art to disrupt this pervasive sameness and sidestep the algorithm overlords to inject new ideas into the collective consciousness.

And how we can use the technology of OUR time to bring new ideas to the world.

I think you're really going to love what he has to say about this.

In this between seasons bonus episode, I share a deeper message I received from honeybee consciousness and how bees see the world and their role in it.

Listen to hear more about the "Queen of the Queen Bees" and their gentle frequency, how bees and their hives are the temples of the spirit world, bee connections to sacred temples around the world, and the magical role of drone bees in the hive.

You'll also hear a beautiful message channeled from the bees by Jacqueline Freeman, author of The Song of Increase: Listening to the Wisdom of Honeybees for Kinder Beekeeping and a Better World.

In this final episode for Season 3, The Honeybee as Shaman, I talk with beekeeper Ariella Daly to explore the cultural and historical practices, myths, and beliefs around bees and parallel stories related to the serpent.

Ariella is devoted to natural, bee-centric bee tending and has spent the past decade studying under The Path of Pollen, a shamanic honey bee tradition based in the British isles.

As we wrap up this season, I wanted to explore the symbology behind the bee and the serpent which I encountered again and again on this journey with my ancestors and to explore the ancient idea of honeybee as shaman that can be found in many traditions around the world prior to Christianity.

In this episode, we talk about Brigham Young's efforts to clear Utah Territory of the indigenous tribes who'd called the land home for thousands of years, and how he used genocide, tithes from church members, and the labor of indentured servants and slaves to build his empire.

I share what it was probably like for Nils and Maria, my ancestors who immigrated from Sweden, to make the long journey and assimilate into the homogenous Mormon culture in Utah and I wonder about what traditions from the old world crossed the Atlantic with them.

In this episode, I discuss what happened in the Swedish witch trials and how my ancestors were likely affected, how the rural farm villages were broken up, completely changing the Swedish way of life, and the reason that 1.2 million Swedes ended up leaving their country to immigrate to America.
