In this fourth message from our series through 1 John, Pastor Josh Edwards explores one of the greatest challenges facing every follower of Jesus: competing loves.

Before John warns believers about the world, he first reminds them who they are in Christ. Our sins are forgiven. We know the Father. We have overcome through Jesus. From that place of assurance, John calls us to guard our hearts against anything that would compete for the love, devotion, and worship that belong to God alone.

Together we explore:
• Remember Who You Are (1 John 2:12–14)
• Guard Your Heart (1 John 2:15–16)
• Walk With God and Live for What Lasts (1 John 2:17)

Along the way, we trace the thread of temptation from the Garden of Eden, to Jesus in the wilderness, and into our own lives today, discovering that while the enemy's strategy has never changed, neither has God's faithfulness.

Ultimately, this message reminds us that the Christian life is not about trying harder. It is about life with God. Through Jesus Christ, we are invited into relationship with the Father, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and called to live for what lasts forever.

What has your heart? What do you love most? Because what we love will shape how we live, and only life with God lasts forever.

In this third message of our series through 1 John, Pastor Josh explores one of the great questions of the Christian life: How do we know that we know God?

Drawing from 1 John 2:3–14, John moves from right belief and walking in the light to the visible evidence of a life transformed by Jesus Christ. He reminds us that Christianity is not merely about knowing facts about God, following religious rules, or striving for perfection. It is about knowing Jesus, walking in obedience, and learning to love as He loved.

Together we explore three key themes from the passage:

• Knowing Jesus Changes the Direction of Our Lives
• Knowing Jesus Changes How We Love
• Knowing Jesus Changes Who We Are

This message explores the difference between religion and relationship, the transforming power of the gospel, the old command made new in Jesus, and why love is the defining mark of Christian discipleship.

Ultimately, John reminds us that Christian obedience is not about earning God's favour. It is about responding to God's grace. The evidence that we know Jesus is not perfection, but a life increasingly shaped by His love.

Jesus is the Word of Life who calls us into the Light so that we can love God and love others.

In this second message of our series through 1 John, Pastor Josh explores one of the most foundational and hope-filled passages in the New Testament: 1 John 1:5–2:2.

John declares that God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all. From that truth, he challenges us to consider what genuine fellowship with God looks like. What does it mean to walk in the light? How do we deal with sin? And what hope do we have when we stumble and fall?

In Exodus 14, Israel stood trapped between Pharaoh's army and the Red Sea. Fear surrounded them, uncertainty lay ahead, and there seemed to be no way through. Yet into that moment Moses spoke these powerful words: "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." (Exodus 14:14)

In this episode, we explore what it means to trust God when life feels uncertain, why the answer has always been God, and how Jesus leads His people through every valley. From Exodus and Psalm 23 to 1 John and the letters of Paul, this message is an encouragement for these days to fix our eyes on Christ, walk with Him daily, and discover the freedom found in His presence.

In this launch Sunday message, Pastor Josh Edwards begins our inaugural series through the letter of 1 John, exploring the opening verses of the apostle John's letter and the profound declaration that Jesus is the "Word of Life."

Drawing from 1 John 1:1-4, we discover that Christianity is not merely a philosophy, a set of rules, or a religious system. It is a relationship with the living Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God who stepped into human history, revealed the Father, and invites us into fellowship with Him.
