This week we went to Up Top Martial Arts to check back in with Ed’s Grandmaster Sensei Yanni. We had fun catching up, got an update on his training and how the gym is doing. Yanni is impressed with Ed’s commitment to the podcast and said he’s rolling well. We also talked about the WNO card and made some predictions. It’s always fun hanging out with Yanni so sit back and enjoy his company like Ed and Dave do.

This week Ed and Dave decided to have friend and training partner Kyle Maitilasso sit in on the podcast with them. Kyle is another brown belt and killer coming from Matt Serra lineage through Paul “Opie” Fahey. This was fun and easy to do since all the guys try to kill each other on a normal basis. We just had a good conversation while trying to introduce Kyle a bit. Listen in and enjoy while learning a bit about one of the guys we train with regularly.

This week Dave really screwed up and booked an interview when he knew he was going to be away, so we decided to introduce you to a name you hear a lot Peter Pan, Dave’s brother Matt. Matt bored us this week with stories he finds interesting and gives no explanation to the reason he stuck with Jiu Jitsu after such a rough start. So sit back and get to know someone you hear about quite often Matt Ross.

This week due to a cancellation we are doing our recap 1 week early. Dave is not upset at this as he wants more podcasts with co-host Ed, while Ed thinks Dave just sucks at his job. The boys sit down and have some fun discussing the past 8 guests and some future plans for the podcast. Ed also makes a bit more of a fool of himself since he was drinking some girly alcoholic beverages. As always when these to are together its like oil and water so sit back and enjoy another episode with Ed and Dave.

In this episode we travel across the ocean to speak with one of our original training partners, Kemail Verhoeven. Kemail is the owner and head instructor of Renzo Gracie Holland and he is on his way to becoming the KING of Europe. Not really but he is growing very quickly and spreading Jiu Jitsu. He also has more gyms on the way and almost a dozen affiliates. It was great catching up with our old friend and we were simply amazed at the thought process he uses in a lot of his training, most importantly getting kids involved in BJJ. If you want to know more about Kemail be sure and check him out on all his social media https://www.instagram.com/renzogracieholland/ https://www.facebook.com/RenzoGracieHolland and at his website https://www.renzogracieholland.com
