God is a God of Love! Love is not just an idea we think about or an emotion we feel. True love engages. It doesn't let go or give up easy, it moves in during difficult circumstances and communicates truth no matter what! God has called us to love and engage the world the same way His Son Jesus Did. God hasn't called us to sleep while others are perishing, but instead, He has called us to prayer, and to care, and to share.

Struggling with sharing the gospel is common for all Jesus followers and we all have different reasons why we struggle. Jonah, was one of Israel's great prophets, and even he struggled. We are going to learn that when we struggle and even refuse to share, God's grace is with us and his calling doesn't change. He will help us to grow and Go.

BIG IDEA: It is humanity's fallen nature to believe that salvation has to be earned. In fact every other major religion teaches just that. That going to heaven, or entering into a relationship with Jesus, is dependent on the good things we do. As believers (after salvation), this kind of thinking just takes on a different form. The idea that Jesus loves, accepts, and blesses us through a faith relationship and not our good works can still be a struggle. The truth is that from salvation to sanctification (a growing relationship with Jesus through ongoing surrender) it is our faith in Jesus finished work on the cross that is continually needed.
