BIG IDEA: There is a very familiar lie about freedom in the world that our flesh likes to hear. It goes something like this, "I'm free to do what I want, when I want, with whom I want." This may sound like freedom, but it just doesn't work in the real world. The reason why it doesn't work is because this world is God's creation and it is bound by His rules. He has set things up so that man has free will to choose and those choices have real consequences. A more accurate and honest saying is, "I am free to choose, but not all my choices lead to freedom." In fact, all of our choices make us either a slave or a servant - son/daughter.

Don't Believe The Hype: From Death to Life, From Flesh to Spirit by Pastor James Sabin.

BIG IDEA: As we are learning, we are in a spiritual Battle and we will need spiritual (supernatural) resources. But more importantly we need to become spiritual people - "born again" - as Jesus teaches. We must become brand new beings who are made alive to God and empowered by His Spirit. Without being born again, we are dead to God in our sins and enslaved by our sinful nature. This leaves us as the most vulnerable targets on the battlefield of life.
