When he started eight years ago, people told him he couldn't build a publication about European tech. "It's too small", they said. Now, there are multiple publications covering European tech and Europe has 321 unicorns, increasing year on year. Yet, as Robin mentions, there is still a way to go for Europeans to reach the moxie and ambition of their American counterparts. Robin challenges the notion of creating mini Silicon Valleys around the world - arguing that we should think bigger. Rather than replicating Silicon Valley, Europe must forge its own legacy, building an ecosystem that plays to its unique strengths.
