Welcome to the mini series on The History Of Mens Hair. Ive been cutting hair for a number of years now, feel very confident cutting all types of textures or styles but I would say a weakness of mine is knowing the background of these cuts. Its also something I didn't think many other people would know so thought it might be fun to document me learning about them.

Episode number 1 is focusing on the pompadour, really one of the most iconic hair cuts of the mens hair world for the last 50 years or so. We find where the name came from, who has worn the haircut and how the style has changed and adapted from group to group.
