Step beyond the present and journey into the mist-covered landscapes of ancient Scotland.
In this immersive EMDR based meditation you’ll travel among weathered standing stones, rugged Highland terrain, shimmering lochs, and echoes of Scotland’s ancient past. Guided relaxation, sensory storytelling and gentle bilateral stimulation invite your mind and body to slow down as the journey unfolds. Settle in, follow the rhythm from left to right and allow yourself to become part of a world shaped by stone, water, stars and time. This EMDR inspired meditation is set beside the Nile in ancient Egypt. As the sun sets…wander through the village, past fishermen, families, fragrant cooking and the ancient river that sustains them all. This story incorporates gentle alternating left-right sensory attention, rhythmic footsteps and the soothing sounds of the Nile. Bilateral stimulation is optional and intended for relaxation rather than trauma processing. The Final Journey: Finding Strength, Connection & Peace at the End of Life
How do we prepare for a goodbye we’re not ready to make?
In this deeply compassionate episode of EMDR Mind Architect, Karen Baluch, LPCC-S, LICDC, explores The Final Journey—the emotional experience of supporting someone we love as they approach the end of life.
We explore anticipatory grief, the complicated emotions that can arise before and after a loss, and ways to remain present without losing ourselves in the process. You’ll also hear about drawing strength from family, friends, community, and meaningful connection while navigating one of life’s most difficult transitions. Karen also briefly discusses how EMDR can help.
This episode is about more than saying goodbye. It’s about loving, supporting, grieving, and finding peace through the final journey.

Today we’re going to talk about being shut out from society, a topic that is devastating and is not discussed nearly enough. Being rejected by your family, your neighborhood, your workplace, your church or social group can be terribly destructive. This podcast refers to this process of alienation as becoming a 21st Century Leper. The podcast is not talking about the disease….but an ancient form of human punishment that still exists in a modern form- the experience of being treated as though you are socially untouchable.
But it doesn’t have to stay this way! EMDR and concepts from DBT are presented in today’s podcast that can be very helpful in overcoming this problem and building a life worth living.
Join us today if you or someone you know is struggling with this issue. Share this episode if it resonates with you and might help someone find their way back to building a life worth living again. Thanks again to Alan Morgan for his music “Stride Piano Sunny Cafe ” from Pixabay.
