I've been having some discussions with the few ladies in my private community about some easy, no stress, ways to bring more money right away in their business.
Sometimes, the opportunities are they but we overcomplicate things, thinking that we need to create a totally new offer or product.
Well that’s not the case! With some smart and simple messaging and marketing, you can give your venue a boost, like, right now!
In this episode we discuss:
Adding a higher price option
Creating a sense of urgency and this being a great excuse to make some noise in your marketing
Using scarcity to help your audience make a decision
And how to win more work from your previous clients.
Don't hold yourself back thinking, "I can't charge that much" or "I don't want to be salesy" or “I don't want people to think that I'm just trying to get money from them".
You have a business, you are allowed to sell!
So listen in!

This year I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know the ladies behind BuildHer Collective - Kribashini Hannon who has a Masters of Project Management - and Rebeka Morgan - who studies Construction Management followed by a Masters in Entrepreneurship - plus their great team.
Their business, BuildHer Collective helps women take control of their build and make the build or renovation a rewarding experience through webinars, online courses, events and private consultations. Rebeka and Kribashini have also recently launched their own podcast: Building with BuildHer.
I mentioned today’s episode was a little different to usual and that’s because we decided rather than record two separate chats for each other’s podcasts, we decided to create just one in-conversation style episode instead. We cover building a brand, building a business, and well, building!
So listen in as I speak with two smart women who have a lot to share for all of us..

Sometimes we can overcomplicate marketing.
We can become overly focussed on the things that don’t move the needle forward, trying to figure out hacks and tactics, rather than work on simple strategies, because they seem just that: too simple to possibly work
We can get stuck on what are really the little things like hearing we should use 11 hashtags versus 30… add the hashtags in a comment not our caption… I heard I should post 2 a day… I want more followers then I’ll have more sales… or we say we hate the algorithm.
But in this episode I’m sharing with you the three super simple ways that I leverage Instagram to grow my business that EVERY business owner can use too.
What I focus on that works without any special tactics or hacks.
And it’s why I don’t buy into the algorithm hating.
Instagram is a FREE platform for our business - seriously how LUCKY are we?!
So let’s get into it!

I'm not someone who tends to dwell on the past but when I am asked what I would do differently if I had my time again starting my business, it doesn’t take me long to respond!
As my business developed in its first few years, I was offering a range of services (basically whatever I was asked for!). Branding, website design, copywriting, brand strategy, event marketing, social media strategy, social media management…
But as the months passed, I had a feeling in my gut and underlying anxiety as well. I was asking myself “What do I want to be known for?”.
And being someone like I know that you are too, who wants to achieve and wants to do big things, I just knew that what I was doing wasn't going to help me get there.
I needed to get more focused, but I was resisting the advice that I was being given over and over again:
Go all in on Instagram. Focus on just Instagram. Niche, Emily!
And did I take that advice?
Of course not - that would have been way too easy ;)
It took me FOUR YEARS until I actually took on this advice to niche, after many months of feeling very anxious, lost, stuck and having a feeling in my gut that I wasn't on purpose.
Finally, about 12 months ago, I decided it was well and truly time to take this advice on board and focus on JUST Instagram.
I tweaked my messaging, starting saying no to jobs outside of this and really focussed on delivering great content based around Instagram...
Wind forward to now, and niching has been the BEST move for my business.
So even though you might be scared you'll lose work, even though you want to work with everyone (just like I did!) and even though you don't feel like you are an "expert" enough to claim that space (like I SURE did!)...
I encourage you to do that scary thing and go "all in" on what really lights you up and the area you know you can help people in the most. Because niching DOWN will GROW your business.
In this episode I discuss my advice to you for how to find your niche and why it might be one of the best business moves you make.
