This Sunday we commemorate and celebrate the event of Jesus' baptism, and understand it as a practice that has more weight on our lives beyond its one-time observance we make it.

Reformation Sunday is a time to recount the birth of the Protestant Church, and to remind us of what God is calling his people too. Is the Reformation just an historical event, or does it continue to impact our works for God in the world?

Sometimes when we are working toward something we miss the intention because we are so focused on what we are going. In a way we focus so much on ourselves and who we want God to be in times of trouble or uncertainty, that we miss who God is all along.

On World Communion Sunday we are given the opportunity to examine and experience God's grace by a different perspective. We understand what it is God is giving to us personally, and to the world at large through his gift of the table.
