In this episode, we talk about mental health and Black males from the perspective for an educator. Topics we discuss range from getting more Black males in higher education as students as well as instructors to the mental health benefits of pursuing education.
For this episode, we sat down with Solomon Hughes. Solomon serves as the Associate Director of the EDGE Doctoral Fellowship Program at Stanford University. He works on the development and leadership of programs created to empower students as they navigate the graduate school experience. He has served as a Lecturer in the Graduate School of Education, and teaches courses that explore the intersection of race and college athletics. He holds a PhD in higher education from the University of Georgia. His BA and MA are from the University of California at Berkeley.
