I had the opportunity to chat with Amy Sutton and Chris Koop from the Hastings Family Service. Hastings Family Service is a community based nonprofit agency providing a range of emergency and supportive services for over forty years to assist and guide neighbors in their local community who lack food, clothing, shelter, support or transportation.
HFS provides help and hope in a spirit of caring and respect, knowing that unforeseen circumstances like job elimination, reduction in work hours or medical emergencies can happen to any of us at any time. HFS strives to assist those in need while providing fulfilling opportunities for volunteers and community members to support those efforts.
Poverty and need doesn’t always look the same around us. Find out more about how these women are leading the efforts of HFS to meet the needs of those they serve and equip them with resources. They are making a difference.
