Eliza Bleu is a human trafficking survivor and survivor advocate. She was trafficked as a 17 year old right here in the U.S.; she went public about her survivor status during the pandemic and now is an advocate supporting other survivors and combatting sex trafficking, a $99 Billion industry. She has spoken out recently against platforms like Twitter that have been found to host child sexual abuse material and react slowly when it is reported.
Today we talk about:
Why she decided to go public as a trafficking survivor and advocate
How she’s taking on Twitter for hosting child sexual abuse material
Government, big tech, and human trafficking, and ideas on how to handle the Wild West of the Internet (taking down websites, the role of policy and government, censorship etc.)
