Today we're discussing intimacy with God! Having intimacy with God is something we’re called to do. It was we were created for. Take it all the way back to the creation of man, adam and eve placed in the garden for fellowship with God. They got to spend time with Him and walked with Him in the cool of the day. The garden is an image of an ideal world and our relationship with God.  Stories in the Bible are FULL of testimonies of intimacy. Of how God carried them through trial after trial. But how can someone carry us without being brought close to them?

Today we’re discussing types of distraction and looking at the lives of 3 people: Eve, Samson and Martha. The moment we begin to get distracted, we’ve already given Satan an inch when he’s prepared to take 4 million miles. He gets us to doubt the smallest portion of the truth we know we heard and a minute later, we’re handing over excuses to justify our sin. We get distracted by the idea that sin is going to fulfill us and that worldly knowledge is going to sustain us. Some people may be comfortable in their bondage, but comfort does not equal growth.

Today I am chatting with Elle, the founder of Daughter of Delight, an online global ministry for more than 100 thousand women! It’s run by women, for women and I couldn’t tell you how excited I was to get to have Elle sit down and chat with us. I saw it fit that she talked about God-size dreams because that is exactly what she has built. She answered her call, she remained obedient and I knew this was a message for us!  Elle does a wonderful job of answering our complicated questions and empathizing with our greatest fears. “I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but we found some abnormalities...”

The words no mother ever expects to hear as she goes in for a routine 20-week anatomy scan. You don’t think they are going to tell you your baby’s brain might not function properly, or that he might not walk, or that he might not have full function of all of his organs. But there are two sides to this story. The one that speaks of the diagnosis, and the one that speaks of Gods faithfulness. But God didn’t make a mistake here. Maybe the doctors saw what they saw, because they needed to see it in order for there to be a miracle to witness. But the story didn’t end, and hope wasn’t lost when the doctor said he wasn’t normal. A fire, unlike anything Lexie ever experienced, was lit inside her and her husband, Craig. One that believes Victory is already won, that the weapon formed against them would not prosper.

Reinventing just means to produce something new that is based on something that already exists. We should always be growing and adjusting our perspectives and challenging ourselves and going to new levels! However, a glow up is about way more than looks and appearances and any material thing, although those things can be fun and encouraging, but it’s also about your mindset, about positivity, about identifying your emotions and growing spiritually.
