In this episode, Michaelyn shares her struggles with social media, how Christians misuse the platform and how we can have a healthier relationship with these vital little apps that control our lives.
Heartbreaks reveal so much about ourselves, the dependency we have on others, the way we rely on them for happiness, reassurance, peace everything you felt like you lost was never theirs to give. Everything you lack without them in your life, was never theirs to bring. It was planted on unstable ground.
Refuse to be bound in bitterness.
Instead, be intentional about waking up every morning and saying “God, teach me to do your will. Lead me on level ground. Don’t let me think thoughts of bitterness, anger, jealousy or insecurity. God, fill my heart with your love. if i’m seeking your will, great things are to come. if this person is not your will, I will gladly set it down and fix my eyes on you.”
Fill your voids with God.
Don’t clutter your spirit with distractions. Ask yourself what it is you run to when you feel upset. If it’s not Jesus, it’s a distraction to keep you in a vicious cycle of placing expectations on people that’t they can never live up to. We put expectations on people to love us perfectly when they’re simply incapable.
Quit taking it out on God.
How many of us end up hurt from a relationship God never told us to be in? God’s plans for you are good, pleasing and perfect. He loves you. It’s not His goal to punish you through people or to take things away from you to hurt you.

How to Fight and Overcome Seasons of Discontentment
Discontentment is a heart condition as a result of a situation.
Being content one day and discontent another day reveals that discontentment is a heart issue. It’s a feeling. It’s not a place that you’re stuck.
Every season of your life is going to bring tests and trials.
First seed of discontentment and comparison is ever planted
Genesis 3 :1-7
Satan tempts us by making us believe that we’ll be happier with something else even if it means moving ahead of God.
He has to make those things look desirable because if we saw it for what it was, it wouldn’t be tempting.
Satan wraps truth in a lie. It’s not bad to desire certain things, but the lie is that your happiness lies within attaining those things.
Lust for the world can never be satisfied. It will only keep us distracted and chasing.
Discontentment denies the wisdom of God and exalts your own.
Psalm 16: 5-6
God is fighting for you. What God has for you is FOR YOU. That anointing, that gifting will not fit anybody else. It was made for you. It’s is your spiritual fingerprint.
Discontentment births the idea that God is withholding anything from us.
Romans 8:32
Zechariah 4:10
If you could do all of this on your own, what need would you have for God.
1 Samuel 17
The seasons of discontentment are only preparing you and equipping you for future seasons so you learn to trust God and to fight your battles spiritually.
