In today’s episode we sit down with off-road triathlon legend Conrad Stoltz ahead of Xterra South Africa end of Feb. We chat about his career, from road non-draft olympic distance, to his switch to Xterra. He tells us how he raced his first season of Xterra on borrowed bikes, and somehow came away with a ~10 minute win!

Since retiring he’s very active in the community as a trail builder and race host for Xterra. As we record this we’re about a month away from the Xterra South Africa in Grabouw. He tells us about the new updates of the race, and what we can expect this time next month.

He tells us all about his race, from the swim tactics, to the bike numbers, to the suffering on the run. He also takes us in to what it’s like to have a significant other who’s just as high-performing, as well as excited, about triathlon as he is. Dale also shares his recipe to balance quality training, a good relationship, a busy job, and having a daughter.
