We are lucky to be joined by Shanae Williams, one of South Africa’s premier short course / ITU triathletes. She tells us her story about how she got in to the sport with a synchro and waterpolo background, how she got chucked in the deep end with her racing, how she narrowly missed out on the Olympics due to a heart condition, her stormer 2025 season, and where she’s at now going in to the next Olympic cycle.
Notably, Shanae lets us in to some of the learnings from the tough period that she had when she was sidelined and all her colleagues were prepping for the Olympic Games.
Shanae really dropped some great nuggets of gold in this one!
Make sure you don’t miss this week’s episode of The Endurance Club ZA
