Evil will not will. God will reign forever. We will be rescued. God will do away with evil once and for all at his return. We win. We do not have to lose hope because Jesus will return and one day, we will be with our Lord and Savior, in person, forever and ever without sin or any evil hindering our experience of Him. The perfect world we long for will one day be realized.

Just like between the 6th and 7th seal, there is an interlude between the 6th and 7th trumpet. Chapter 10 and the first 14 verses of chapter 11 serve as the interlude between the 6th and 7th trumpet. 

To me, this imagery reveals the power of the enemy to deceive the world and what he will do to do that. But also the necessity of the truth of God’s word. There’s good news for believers, the enemy cannot touch us. We are secure. We are safe. Yet, we need to know there’s a battle, and for our unbelieving friends, we have the answer – Jesus Christ.

Now we move to chapter 7 which is  how God’s people are protected during what we just saw in chapter 6, the 6 seals. The section stands as a kind of parenthesis explaining how God will keep believers safe during the tribulations of the church age. As a result, the believers will not be harmed spiritually when they go through the trials unleashed by the four seals of 6:1-8.

The fifth and sixth seal are different. John sees believers who were slain because of their faith. Jesus predicted this as well. The language used here could represent all the church since all the church in some regard suffers for Christ. The opening of the 6th seal is the answer to the martyr’s prayers. John sees judgment poured out on the wicked.
