What was the “glorious gospel of the blessed God” that Paul was entrusted to preach (1 Timothy 1:11)? The word blessed in that verse can also be translated “happy.” Our God is happy. He wants none to perish. He so loves you and me, and it’s His relentless passion to convince us that we can trust Him in every moment.

God is not keeping a record of your wrongs (1 Cor. 13:5). He tore up the record at the cross (Col. 2:14), and He remembers your sins no more (Heb. 8:12). God Is Not An Accountant!!! 

Christ in us is better than what the disciples or even Adam enjoyed. 

Jesus came to undo what Adam did. Adam and Eve sinned and hid behind a tree. They were naked and covered in shame, and do you know what Jesus did? He allowed Himself to be crucified, naked, on a tree so that He could conquer sin and shame for us.

We live from rest, not for rest. Jesus has finished His work. He has seated us with Him and wants us to live from His finished work, not for it. (Seeing Jesus in Genesis)

In the garden, God wanted us to reign. Then sin happened... Enter Jesus. He came to undo what Adam did. And now, we are reigning with Christ. So what does it mean to reign with Christ?

Jesus is “the visible image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15). And we are recreated in Christ. We're His masterpiece and "like Jesus." This means we're remade in the image of Christ! 

Since the tomb is empty, we don’t have to be. In Christ, you are complete and whole (Col. 2:10). You lack nothing (1 Corinthians 1:7; 2 Peter 1:3). That Jesus died for your sins is only part of what He did; His resurrection to give you new life is the other part.

If we want to know what God is like... we look to Jesus. Christ is what God is like. And God's plan is to show us Jesus. God’s plan all along was "to show us his grace through Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 1:9). 

You are not a burden to God. He is not irritated or frustrated with you. He loves to care for you and bear your burdens.
