Thank you for joining me!
In this session we cover:
Creating an environment that is simple-ordered-accessible-beautiful by using what we have already at our fingertips and celebrating our cultural heritage 😍.
Montessori in the home can sometimes be thought of as purely a picture perfect set of shelves; and that this alienates families who believe that they do not have the means to buy 'all of that expensive Montessori stuff'.
In reality, nothing can be further from the truth.
Your home environment that you prepare for your child should be a reflection of your culture, your beliefs, your passions. It is not meant to look like the perfect and expensive looking environments that we see on social media. It should be simple, ordered, accessible and beautiful, and unique to you.
Whatever your cultural heritage, it is perfect, and should be celebrated. Our children need spaces created especially for them to promote their independence and capability, this is universal - however the style, the stamp, the essential of your home environment comes from you the individual, your family, your culture. Use what you have already at home, you don't need to buy anything else.
We also look at how we can be parents who empower our children; by stepping back, by observing our child and by listening.
