Welcome to this week’s Entrepreneur Express Tip in 5 minutes or less! Today’s express tip is a reminder to be patient in your business. Remember, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. I know this is something you have heard before, but sometimes you just need to hear it again.
Progress does not feel like anything and sometimes it’s naturally overwhelming and exhausting. You must keep the pace, momentum, and consistency to keep moving forward. Do not get distracted by a strategic plan that is not part of your strategic plan.
Always remember, be patient in your business.

Welcome to this week’s Entrepreneur Express Tip in 5 minutes or less! Today’s topic is one of my favorite secret weapons – how to ask clarifying questions. A clarifying question is asking questions to truly peel the onion, learn more and uncover the facts. You are not providing a solution in the question, but instead asking better questions that will ultimately empower your team.

On today’s episode of the Entrepreneur Evolution Podcast, we are joined by Edgar Blazona, Founder and President of BenchMade Modern and a serial entrepreneur (and also a DJ on the side!). Edgar Blazona is a modernist American furniture designer and founder of wildly popular direct-to-consumer sofa brand BenchMade Modern. A high school dropout, turned graffiti artist, turned serial entrepreneur, Edgar got his start in the furniture industry because of need: he was young and broke, and his first apartment didn’t have any furniture. And, necessity became invention. Along with starting several (!) of his own companies, including Modular Dwellings – a prefab backyard shelter company, Edgar also sharpened his skills in the corporate world at Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware. As he saw customers accustomed to waiting three months (and more!) for sofas and sectionals that realistically take only a few weeks to make, he realized there must be a better way and founded BenchMade Modern in 2015 to disrupt this norm. BenchMade Modern offers sofas and sectionals in 5” increments and custom configurations, depths, fabrics and more. Custom furniture arrives at your doorstep within weeks, not months.

Welcome to this week’s Entrepreneur Express Tip in 5 minutes or less! Today’s topic is a friendly reminder to get rid of all the bad eggs. Toxic people are cancer in your business. I know this might not be the most positive express tip, but it is the truth we all need to hear sometimes. All it takes is one bad egg to ruin it for everybody. You must fully be conscious and aware of that and distance yourself from those bad eggs. You do not want those bad eggs to interfere with your long-term growth, strategy, and plan in your life and business.
Use this as a friendly reminder to be surrounded by the good people in your life and get rid of the bad eggs!
