  • 79. Express Tip #39: Destination Disease

This Entrepreneur Express Tip is coming to you today, Friday, April 9th. For today’s tip, we are talking about destination disease. No, this is not a real disease, you do not need to seek medical help. I have understood this “disease” two different ways. The first is that you reach a destination and then you stop growing. In the podcast I regularly  listen to, it brought up this topic and referenced how post high school, only 50% of people will read an entire book. If you really think about this, most people do not continue learning once they reach a certain level in life. So, do you feel yourself coming to a halt in growth? Are you a curious learner? Are you continuing to grow? The second take on this “disease”, is that you are so focused on the destination, that you lose yourself on the journey. You become so obsessed with that destination that you lose yourself and become completely unpresent in the present. So, what are some ways you can make sure you are not losing yourself and suffering through this type of destination disease? Ground yourself in love, ground yourself in passion, ground yourself in purpose... Go back to those things, and think of why you were so focused. Be present. If you have stopped growing, remember these, reflect, enjoy the journey, have patience. Talk to new people, read books, pick up new podcasts to continue growing and learning to become a better version of yourself. I have so many great people and businesses doing this, working on themselves with me through my iEvolve Consulting business. If you need to carve out some time and a safe space to talk about you and your business, remember that I am here for you. I offer free, 20-minute, breakthrough consultations. This is what fills my bucket, I am passionate beyond belief about entrepreneurs, and their journey, and their evolution. Let’s keep evolving!

    9. 77. Express Tip #38: Good Things are Ahead and Waiting For You

This Entrepreneur Express Tip is coming to you today, Friday, April 2nd. I am so happy to be with you!!

We now officially have the first quarter of 2021 under our belts. There was a lot of transition, emotion, change, and productivity out there… And I see you all making it happen. So, today, I wanted to share with you a powerful message by way of a little story about the Chinese bamboo. When you plant the seeds for the Chinese bamboo, it takes five years for any type of growth outside of the ground to actually happen. Watering the seed in the ground for FIVE years without actually seeing any progress. And then what happens? In the first 6 weeks of the fifth year, it sprouts 90 feet in the air. So some people, if you ask them how quickly does it take for Chinese bamboo to grow, they will say it takes six weeks. But the wise ones, the ones who really know, know that it takes five long long years. And what happens in those five years of watering the ground? The roots under the ground are growing deeper, and deeper. When you’re having moments of doubt, feeling discouraged, or something isn’t happening at the speed you want it to happen at, remember: you have to keep on watering the ground. Good things are ahead and are waiting for you. Keep on showing up, and keep on evolving, Entrepreneur.

    10. 76. Episode #39: Lay-n-Go with Amy Fazackerley

In today’s podcast, you will learn about Amy Fazackerley, owner of Lay-n-Go, a product solution to packing and cleaning up an array of items used regularly such as toys or make-up products. Amy came up with the idea of necessity - realizing there was no good solution out there. There needed to be a solution to hours of play, without the hours of cleanup. Lay-n-Go’s inception started as a need for her family, and has since expanded to include other useful solutions for individuals like cosmetic cases, tech accessory, and even military bag needs for emergency responders. Amy understood the need, and didn’t stop there. She went on going through a year of testing in order to focus on what was important - quality, style, durability, and innovative functionality. She is the epitome of a ROCKSTAR entrepreneur, who took needs from everyday family-life and moved it into an area as a business owner who balances business, family, and life.

Check out Lay-n-Go’s product line at www.layngo.com. There are many solutions for all types of families, individuals, and even animals!

    11. 75. Express Tip #37: Lifestyle Networking

This Entrepreneur Express Tip is coming to you today, Friday, March 26th. I am so happy to be with you!! The weather is turning around and the rhythm of the week seems to be changing. People are starting to be out and about and seem to be getting busier!  So, today, I wanted to give you a quick hack regarding networking and prospecting! I want you to think about what I call "Lifestyle Networking". It is the approach of really networking and showing up as your whole self, always in everything that you do, not compartmentalizing your work and personal self. For example, when you run an errand, go to the gym, have playdates, etc. take that 30 seconds of courage to network with that group, share with them what you do. Don't assume everyone knows what you do, there may be a great connection right on the sports sidelines that grows into something so much more for you both. So, on your next outing present your entire self, be authentic, be you and share more about yourself!!
