The Episode One Podcast

We have Screeners! Thank you Hulu for giving us access to Tell Me Lies so we can bring it to the audience on release day!

We've done a few shoes, many of them Hulu in this vein. Based off a book (Little Fire Everywhere, Nine Perfect Strangers) Toxic Relationship (Cruel Summer), Horny (Normal People). It's great to do a show that combines elements of most of our most popular episodes!

We're here to watch with you, discuss Tell Me Lies, what hooked us, what didn't work, and of course whether we're watching more.

Let us know what you thought of Tell Me Lies ([email protected])

A couple firsts in this episode. First a show Steve hasn't watched, and second a british show that is exclusive to Hulu and Star+

Can Chris convince Steve to watch Wedding Season, without giving away the episode 1 twist?

Then Steve and Chris review the last year of Episode ones, going back to 154, as a preview of our Next episode. Tell Me Lies

Another month, another Marvel show. But this one is a bit of a fresh take, as it's the first proper comedy!

The boys (not not those boys) dig in and take a look at what worked (the lawyering surprisingly) What didn't (besides the CGI). and discuss how this fits into the current "meta" of Marvel TV. We also discuss HBO Max turmoil for a little bit, and then dig into some crossovers and 30 second pitches.

Don't call it a come back.

The 3rd PLL spinoff is here, and we have our resident PLL Expert Steve ready to go.

Brought to us by the depraved mind of Roberto Aguire-Sacasa, this is a dark horror type take on the Teen drama.

Is it Dark than Riverdale and Sabrina? Can it live up to the original. What property should Roberto remake next?

All this and more on the Episode One Podcast.

Today we have a 3 for 1. 3 shows featuring strong female leads.

We start off talking about the Lana Condor led Boo Bitch on Netflix, a miniseries with a strong premise.

Then we discuss the Phoebe Robinson vehicle, based off her book, Everything's Trash.

Then we close with A show originally scheduled for ABC, but now on Hulu, Maggie!

It's a fun ride, we cover each show fairly quickly (for us) then get into some pitches for shows that combine all three premises.

Enjoy this week's Episode One Podcast!

Welcome, to the Disney + Podcast... Well not exactly, but can you blame us when they're pumping out hit after hit?

This week another comic book show (our specialty) as we take on Ms Marvel.

To summarize our take, Chris's wife, who hates shows about teenagers, loved this pilot!

We also have some pretty good crossovers and pitches this week!

Not even Covid could stop us... though it could delay us, from fulfilling our destiny and reviewing a show starring the hero of Star Wars Episode One... this podcast's namesake if you believe Steve.

So, how is the much-awaited show? Can it hold up to things, and did this show inadvertently create the Flea multiverse?

all this and more on this Star Wars episode one podcast.

"So what is Shoresy?" "well it's" "Huh?" "Well it's a spin off of Letterkenny"

You'll get it once you watch it.

Perhaps the most Canadian show we've ever done (It's as canadian as Normal People was Irish).

Join us as we recap the pilot (having never watched letterkenny) and sort of fall in love with Sudbury.

Also we obviously cross this over with the Mighty Ducks.

Mike Myers is back! Mike Myers? Hard to believe he hasn't done comedy basically in 14 years, but he is back, with a Netflix Show.

Chris and Steve try to dissect, is it funny? does it work? is it for us, or just for Mike Myers?

One of the most interesting shows we've done on the Episode One Podcast in awhile, The Pentaverate, plus crossovers and 30 second pitches.

What's real? Is Obi-Wan real? Is this podcast? Is Steve?

Moon Knight is here, perhaps the biggest leap the Marvel Cinematic universe has taken thus far... or at least in terms of TV Shows.

How does the show stack up to previous Marvel shows with more established characters? How does the Star power of Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke fare?

And is this show more proof that the Freeform Cinematic Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe are one and the same?

All this plus crossovers and 30 second pitches
