As a leader in South Carolina’s constitutional carry effort, Rep. Jonathon Hill forces roll call votes that put anti-2A Republicans on the record, endangering their re-elections.

Hill is so feared by the Republican establishment, the state party broke its own rules in 2020 by recruiting and funding a primary challenger against his re-election. But liberty is still popular and, with the help of YAL door-to-door activists, he beat his establishment primary opponent in a 62% landslide.

Today, Hill joins renegade statesman Eric Brakey on #FreeAmericaNow to discuss the fight for liberty in South Carolina and his recent pro-life stand on capital punishment. When politicians sought to re-instate the death penalty by re-normalizing the electric chair, Hill argued against the barbarity of electrocution and against re-introducing such punishment into broken system.

“This makes injustice permanent,” says Hill, pointing to well-known and uncorrected flaws in the criminal justice system, as 1 in 9 U.S. executions are carried out on innocent people. "Would you trust this current system to judge you or your loved one?"
