The Erratic Podcast

In our next podcast episode we are proud to present veteran Spanish duo, EXIUM. Composed of Valetin Corujo and Hector Sandoval based out of Asturias, Spain, they are top-notch DJs and producers who have been active for the past 15 years and managing their own label, Nheoma, since 2004. They released their second album, A Sensible Alternative to Emotion, to great acclaim on Polegroup Recordings this past summer, characterized by a slower, deeper, and more cerebral take of their sound while still carrying the melodic trademark which they are known for. In the next hour, they showcase this style in full force, mixing and layering a slew of exquisite material from the best and most current in techno today - deep, sublime, and driving; this is Exium. Enjoy!

Keeping up with the momentum, episode 53 comes straight out of Belfast, Northern Ireland, from one of the main men behind the DSNT Collective, resident DJ, and DSNT's radio show host on Future Music FM, NEZ. Like the acclaimed platform itself, the mix is raw, throbbing, and eclectic – ranging from the acid, to the industrial, to the absolutely mental – 85 minutes of blistering techno. We are very happy to have him in the series representing the DSNT emblem and showcasing his style, which is nothing short of wicked. Enjoy!

Episode 52 is a banger of a mix fresh off the decks from DJ and producer, VIKTORIA REBEKA. Originally from Slovenia but now based in Berlin, she has made quite a name for herself over the last 10 years, having toured across 20 countries delivering her powerful sets, and recently releasing phenomenal EPs on Affin and London White. The next hour is an excellent extract from her sweltering, 3-hour set played at the 2-Year Anniversary of Stattnacht in Berlin two weekends ago. She got right into it on this one, so enjoy!

His style is dark with hints of minimal, and this is exactly what he did just for us in these next 2 hours of driving, trippy techno. Enjoy!

This week we are happy to have NYC based techno duo, Dos Lokos. This recording was extracted from when they played for Twice as Proper earlier in June and exemplifies their mixing style, played in a Brooklyn warehouse at 7am. Dos Lokos is the staple act of the Erratic founders and resident DJs, Jason T. and LoKKoTRONN. They specialize in creating unique techno events in New York City and have a genuine passion towards DJing, where they feed off the energy from the crowd as well as from each other.

We don't usually receive extended sets, but when we do, they are stellar; and this one certainly makes it among the top of the list if we must be honest. Hailing from Rotterdam, with many years of tenure, and impeccable releases on Perc Trax, Mote Evolver, Gynoid, Blank Code and his own Audio Assault and the brand new Mord (read RA feature), we are extremely proud to present BAS MOOY. Between his private life and busy touring schedule, he was kind enough to weave together an stunning, top-of-the-class, and exclusive 2-hour journey for us, which we couldn't be any more grateful for it. We have no doubt you will think the same. There really is not much else to say on this one except to let the music speak for itself. Just keep in mind that his inaugural release on Mord, Linea Recta, is inside, and it's outstanding.

Hailing from Montevideo, Uruguay, we have a fantastic artist featured in this episode - true underground DJ, producer, and label boss, GEORGE PAAR. He is no stranger to the underground scene nor to techno, as he's been exploring and experimenting with sounds for over a decade and his tracks have been released on Gynoid, Micro.fon, Ketra, and his own Par Recordings.

Though fairly new, Par Recordings is home to an array of global talent already and its sister imprint for vinyl-only, Par Wax, has Georgio Gigli featured in its latest release "Life Is Not Dead Yet," which is included in full inside this special 90-minute mix. This collaboration is deeply personal and carries a complex and intimate message from the author himself "it's a homage to life itself...dedicated to all those individuals that continue with their lives even when struck by misfortune and grief."

Covering several of George's own productions this podcast epitomizes what his sound, label, and overall underground endeavors solely stand for: shrewd, thought-provoking techno.
