Including: Retro-futuristic fun at the Space Needle! A robot on the monorail! Angry otters at the aquarium! A massive collection of nerd stuff at the Museum of Pop Culture! Giant trolls! A visit to Archie McPhee’s Rubber Chicken Museum! A visit to filming locations from Twin Peaks and Northern Exposure! A fortune-telling psychic chicken! And yikes, even more. Why, we’ll even teach you the proper way to pronounce “Seattle,” if you believe everything from The Brady Bunch. And we do.

Fallout is a TV series on Amazon Prime based on the video game series of the same name. Taking place in a post-apocalyptic future, Fallout tells the story of the world after a nuclear war through the interactions of the characters left within the wasteland left behind, the cities that are left, and the residents of vaults, which protected certain people from the aftermath of the explosions. In this episode we review the Fallout series. We discuss the overall tone and lore of the series and how it is informed by and recontextualizes some aspects of the original game. We also talk about the plot for this series and how well it worked for us. We also opine on the various characters in that series and debate the quality of the performances as well as what we think their motivations are.
Due to time constraints there is no five-minute controversy this week.
This week Shaun, Mark, and Kori join the cast.

Fifty years ago, the Edmund Fitzgerald vanished beneath the waves of Lake Superior. This week, Leah dives deep into the story that’s haunted her imagination for years. She takes the mic solo for most of the episode, sharing the ship’s history, the mystery, and why this story still resonates half a century later.
Then, we shift gears — from shipwrecks to sunshine — for a quick chat about our upcoming Disney Fantasy cruise. Because after all that tragedy, we definitely need a little sea breeze and soft-serve ice cream.
Grab a mug, settle in, and join us for a reflective, slightly nautical episode of Have Coffee Will Travel.

TICKET PRICES
Rob, Alan, and Stephanie — joined by our buddy JM Tuffley — go on a bit of a passionate, cathartic rant about a topic that really gets under our skin: TICKET PRICES! Trust me, we have a lot to say on this topic! We rage against the machine on subjects like exorbitant prices, ridiculous handling fees, long wait times, server crashes, and we try to suss out the root cause of all of this. We feel so much better having gotten this off of our collective chest!
First, though, we get to some Listener Feedback and talk about Ace Frehley (KISS) and Dave Ball (Soft Cell).
Have you had a frustrating experience with buying tickets? We wanna hear about it! Drop us a line and let us know at [email protected] or just leave a comment on our socials or whatever podcast platform you’re listening to us.

The Cosmic Pizza Podcast brings you Episode 101: Review of the 1997 Jodie Foster film, Contact.
This week the boys agreed that it was time for a film review, so they decided on the 1997 Jodie Foster Film, Contact. Dr. Eleanor “Ellie” Arroway, a SETI scientist who finds evidence of extra-terrestrial life and is chosen to make first contact. This was reviewed back in July 2016 on the Sci-Fi Waffle podcast with Shawn and Paul. There were issues with that review so, 9 years later we will include Dan and have a more meaningful discussion this time round. Thanks to Snips Movies, my local DVD rental store, for providing the DVD for me to watch. £2.50 a movie is cheaper that Netflix or Amazon.
What are your thoughts on this episode? Let us know via email at [email protected] or at the Cosmic Pizza Podcast Facebook page.
Thank you for downloading and listening. We hope you enjoy the show. If you do, then tell others.
