TV, Travel and Marc Maron Comedy!
On this award-winning show, we dive into our recent road-trip adventures. You will learn about the dangers of mail delivery, Etsy shop sourcing, recent television shows and a few other topics. Tell everyone you know about the Have Coffee Will Travel Podcast!
Marc Maron’s current comedy tour has been a major focus for Shawn over the last year. Last Spring, he bought tickets to a nearby comedy show. This show was supposed to occur in October, but due to scheduling, Marc had to postpone. Well, the makeup date for the show finally came. This past weekend, Shawn and Leah were able to see Marc Maron live. After listening to Marc’s podcast for 10 years, Shawn was able to enjoy the entertainment in person. What did Leah think? That’s in this episode.
To get to the show, Shawn and Leah had to travel to the USA. Everyone and everything in the media said this would be a hellish experience. Was it? Find out on this episode of HCWT. Because your hosts were traveling, it was a perfect opportunity to source stock for their Etsy shops. Wally’s Castle is a favourite antique shop in Grand Rapids. GoodWill is also another popular place to stop and check for stock!
Leah became especially excited about the estate sale she found. This house had some amazing Disney items. Leah loves Walt Disney, Mickey Mouse and the overall flavour of Disney. She found a lot of amazing items at this sale.
Also on this episode: Shawn’s dog bite, action figure and plush finds, and recent TV. This episode is called tv, travel and Marc Maron comedy for a reason. All of that and more are topics in this episode. A new segment is our Etsy sales.

Flopcast episode 675! Just a few quick subjects this week: We recommend the improv comedy of Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation’s Jean-Ralphio!), we look at some Saturday Night Live-related comic books (including when Spider-Man met Belushi), and we take it to the streets. Not because we’re Doobie Brothers, but because we’re angry.

The Haunted Hosts review the haunting world of Never Whistle at Night, an anthology of Native ghost stories that explores the supernatural through the lens of Indigenous culture. With the unique perspectives on fear, resilience, and the enduring power of oral traditions that make these stories so impactful. From the significance of settings that amplify the horror to the blend of universal and culturally specific fears, we discuss how this anthology bridges the gap between tradition and modern storytelling. We also explore the variety of storytelling styles featured in the book, reflecting on how these voices enhance the tension, atmosphere, and emotional resonance of each tale.

We’re watching Star Trek: Enterprise Season 2, Episode 2 “Carbon Creek,” but only Maria has actually watched the episode. T’Pol tells Trip and Archer that they might not have their historical facts straight. This episode is widely considered one of the best Enterprise episodes, and we think we might agree. Does it have to do with the fact that none of the lead characters from Enterprise play any part in the story? You decide! We are joined by special guest, Bryan from the Trek, Marry, Kill podcast!
Guest: Bryan from the Trek Marry Kill podcast

This week we set the controls of our Wayback Machine to the funky days of 1975 and celebrate the 50th anniversary of some iconic albums! It’s a year of highs for a lot of bands we now think of as classic rock, and a key year for funk and disco. The Philly Soul sound was very much in fashion; and it was a year of reinvention for some well-established acts. We talk about albums by Elton John, KISS, KC and the Sunshine Band, Queen, Parliament, Roxy Music, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, and the Boss, and the weirdest album Lou Reed ever made. We even get a history lesson on the Third (THIRD!) Great Cod War!
If you’d like to follow along with our discussion, we have a Spotify Playlist highlighting all the music that we talk about in the show!
Let us know your favorite artist, album or song from 1975, especially if it’s one that we didn’t cover. Drop us a line at [email protected] or leave a comment on our socials wherever you see this episode posted!
