Leo Strauss is not a name many conservatives would know, but his philosophy, and the students who follow it, radically redefined the movement. Strauss was an accomplished scholar with an interesting method for interpreting philosophical texts. Despite an impressive intellect, Strauss' larger project had implications that his students followed to create the movement we call neoconservatism.
