  • Ethical Race with Rev. Sheree Taylor-Jones & Raushawna Price

When I recently found myself going down a media rabbit hole surrounding the death of George Floyd during an arrest in the USA and the subsequent global riots, protests and solidarity around the Black Lives Matter movement - I could feel the energy of a generation of pain. I wondered what I could do to help spark a collective change in consciousness that could make us question our beliefs, mindset and bias we unknowingly carry and most of all - wake us up - this is the first step.

Two amazing women came to mind and if you’re a regular listener to The Ethical Evolution Podcast, you would have heard them both previously. Rev Sheree Taylor-Jones and Raushawna Price both live in the USA - on opposite sides of the country, they both experienced growing up black in America and do amazing work in the world when it comes to adult bullying, beliefs, thought patterns and mindset. So it was a bit of a no-brainer that I got these 2 sisters together on our mission of collective change to have the conversation that needs to be had.

  • Ethical Waste Management with Samanta Skrivere

My next guest was recommended to me by another guest in the act of paying it forward. When the COVID-19 pandemic grounded us all globally, it was a great opportunity for me to catch up and connect with changemakers like this amazing lady.

Sam Skrivere is the Founder and CEO of Ministry of Waste based in the UK. Originally from Latvia, Sam now is on a mission to create and execute waste management systems for polluted and disadvantaged communities in developing countries. Less plastic in the ocean, brands acting responsibly and more revenue for local communities - it’s that simple. Sam is currently focusing on Indonesia to tackle the tonnes of waste that goes unmanaged and ends up in the marine environment, whilst empowering locals.

I honestly could have sat with Sam for hours on this subject, so I hope you soak up the inspiration and passion for collective change in this episode.

  • Ethical Waste with Marty McGinty

My next guest was introduced to me by an agency in Western Australia doing great work on telling the stories of change-makers. The alignment couldn’t have been more right!

Marty McGinty is the Managing Director of Matter - an Australian green-tech start-up on a mission to empower people and communities to track, manage and reduce their waste footprint.

Using real-time data, Matter’s patented smart sensor technology and user Apps provide Smart Cities, councils, businesses and homes with the information required to minimise landfill, improve recycling and enable better choices when it comes to waste. Just like we have meters for our gas, water and electricity usage, now we have a metre for our waste.

Importantly, the sensor technology is  the first product in Australia available at a size and cost to rollout across entire communities, meaning the opportunities for collective environmental impact are huge.

The company is currently seeking investment to grow the business and expand its reach and impact.

Please feel welcome to check them out at www.matter.city for more information.

  • Ethical Religion with Rev. Sheree Taylor-Jones

My next guest was another divinely guided connection that I am honoured to share with you.

Rev. Sheree Taylor-Jones’ passion is to assist people in questioning their personal beliefs, assessing and analyzing if those beliefs are valuable or need to be changed, and giving them permission to release beliefs which no longer serve them and create new empowering ones. It’s in our ability to question our convictions that we are able to create personal transformation which leads to a collective shift in consciousness.

In this interview Rev Sheree comes to us from her motorhome in the woods of Oregon and when I met her online, I knew she was one of my tribe - our connection and energy was electric - enjoy this as our energy sparkles. Check out her website at www.preachitsister.com

My next guest was recommended to me by another guest in the act of paying it forward. Through B corp connections I am finding a tribe of pioneers paving the way for others and I am constantly amazed and awe of their innovation and determination to make collective change on the planet.

Their mission is to create denim to end poverty, offering sustainable employment and training opportunities to women who have experienced exploitation. Outland Denim is clear on its mission of empowerment, sustainability and transparency that makes a difference to communities, economies and the environment.

Outland Denim has experienced blistering growth since Meghan Markle wore their brand during a visit to Australia and now welcomes other brands to adopt and use their manufacturing facilities to spread their ripples of change even further. I was super excited to get the opportunity to speak to James in a very heartwarming conversation that will inspire you to reconsider your clothing choices.

  • Ethical Wardrobes with Carol Hanson

A number of guests from around the world recommended that I speak to my next guest. I can see why she got so many recommendations! She’s a great fit for The Ethical Evolution.

Carol Hanson is the Conscious Wardrobe Stylist based in the UK - her mission in life is simple.  To inspire women who have a wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear!  She will help you look and feel fabulous, every time you get dressed. But more than that she wants you to do this with a conscious style approach.

The scale of the negative impact the fashion industry, and our consumption, has on the planet, is no longer a dirty secret.

This is not just about the environmental cost, but the human cost as well, from farming through to manufacturing.  The irreparable damage to our fragile eco systems. Endangering the lives and health of some of the poorest people in the world.  All in the name of fashion.
