Nature vs. nurture. Do they come with intensity and drive? Or do they pick it up somehow from their environment?
Or is some of both?
How do high achievers become high achievers?
In this episode of The Evans Life, A Remarkable Adventure, Bob and Diane talk about how they have nurtured their children, and helped them to find success and achievement. You'll see how it starts from the moment they're born, and continues with the little things, all the way to adulthood.
The children need to be fed, homework needs to be done, your mother's birthday is tomorrow, you've got laundry that is backing up, your spouse is running late, the baby is crying, the microwave is broken, and the house is a mess. On top of that, you were up with a sick child all night the night before and you're exhausted. But you told your son's teacher that you'd provide homemade cupcakes for their class party tomorrow. It's 6:30pm and you've nothing to make cupcakes with in the house.
Never mind the fact that your boss is expecting quarterly reports on her desk first thing in the morning, and you've still got about an hour's worth of work to do on that.
Why is everyone else's life perfect, and you're struggling?

The New Year is almost synonymous with change and improvement. But once you get into about February, how do you keep the momentum you've built with your resolutions?

How many times have you wished you had a camera in your hand, or a microphone close by to record something overwhelmingly precious?
A recent Saturday proved to be one of those times, only this time all I had to do was turn on the mics, and capture something precious.
This is why God loves children.

Just trust Him, and watch the blessings flow.

It was a phone call that changed our lives forever (and almost sent Diane careening off the freeway).
Jaxon Luke Butler Evans. Delivered.
The 6th in a 7 part series on our adoptions.
It takes a boatload of courage, faith, and a little bit of crazy to do what we're doing.
This is how Jacob joined our family. The fifth in a series of seven episodes on adopting seven of our 18 children.
By now, we were starting to catch on to how the Good Lord was sending His children to us. We began to recognize the signs and feelings that the windows of heaven were still open.
But it was anything but routine.
What we found was that any blessing we get is preceded by sacrifice. And the sacrifices we made as Isaac came into the family took us into uncharted waters.
