Your family is spread out all over the country. Or maybe, everyone lives in the same town. How do you maintain that closeness you had when the kids were little? Or how do you develop the traditions that will maintain the closeness you feel as a young family? Bob and Diane had almost the entire family over the Labor Day Weekend, which presented a great opportunity to interview them about what it takes to stay close as a family.
Little did we know that when everyone gathered for Labor Day weekend, we'd get such a bounty of wisdom from our own flesh and blood on life, love, and keeping that spark alive. But alas, that's what happened. Enjoy the first of a series of interviews featuring almost all of our adult children, and some of their besties!
Could it be that cutting down trees means more than just clearing the yard? It turns out that Bob and Diane make a big discovery about their relationship. And it happens right before your ears. See if what they learned about themselves has any relevance to what you're going through right now in this episode of The Evans Life, A Remarkable Adventure podcast.
There are first and lasts in life. Your first kiss. Your last goodbye. Your first day of school, your last term paper. Today, Bob and Diane are working through Diane's trauma over sending 3 year old Brock to pre-school. Mind you, he's just fine. It's his mother. They're also talking about cutting down two big pine trees that have been in the yard since they planted them more than 30 years ago. And to Bob, THAT is a very big deal. And.... you won't believe what Diane paid for the kids' new clothes at Dillard's!
Planting seeds is one of the most basic functions of life. Whether you're a farmer, lawyer, construction worker, or school teacher we are all constantly planting seeds - and harvesting the fruit of the seeds we've planted.
Bob and Diane Evans discuss the shocking and devastating affects of social media on the lives of our children. Do we ban them from using social media? Do we let them do whatever they want? How do we find that sweet spot where we use the tool without losing control of it, and wind up having it turn on ourselves?
In this episode, Bob and Diane are back from Vacation! They get real about the costs of vacations and the cost of NOT going on the couple's only vacations. They even give tips on how to save and plan!
