Episode 8 of Everyday Problems sees hosts Tom and Liam discuss an event that took place for Tom some years ago resulting from a long period of not addressing psychological issues that badly needed his attention. The conversation gets a little graphic in terms of some of the injuries sustained but we felt it necessary to bare all in order to demonstrate the severity of what can happen if you’re not looking after yourself.

Whatever your problems are, no matter how big or small they may seem compared to other people’s, they are yours and they are real. Don’t be ashamed to feel sadness, stress, grief, depression, anxiety, or frankly anything else. We urge you though, not to bottle those feelings up, but to speak to someone and let them know that you may be struggling.

We were so fortunate this week to get some time with Ben Akers. Ben released a documentary - 'Steve' - in 2019 in which he explored the reasons for his childhood friend's suicide and what we might do to avoid this happening again and again.

As you'll hear in the show, suicide is the biggest UK killer of men under the age of 50. But this show is for everyone; whether you're in danger, or know someone who is, or just want to get better at having conversations about 'how we are'.
