Every night at 10pm on Facebook Live I am reading from a collection of Brothers Grimm folk and fairy tales, this one really stuck in my mind and I wanted to record it for here.

It has so many strong shamanic themes running through it, it seemed to me that it is a fantastic example of how not all stories are as they seem, that some perhaps carry Spirit Teachings, a very special kind of medicine all their own.

Inspired by the work of Nancy Mellon, a telling of the traditional Chinese folk tale Princess Kwan-Yin offered up in support of the lungs and associate meridians.

It’s an interesting conversation...fairytales...how much have we got it wrong?

How much have we twisted them to fit our own agendas over the centuries?

What if they were never morality tales at all but teaching tales, what would be the difference?

What if every single Being we meet in them actually exists or has existed just as we do but in the Unseen Realms?

That there stories are valid, as vital as our own?

How would our relationship to them change?

How differently would we treat them?

What if Rumplestiltskin was never the bad guy but a wronged guy?

How would that change things?
