The False 9

It's the annual False 9 Premier League Festive Special! This week Man City open the gap atop the table as both Liverpool and Chelsea drop points, Man United are lucky to get a point at Newcastle but recover against Burnley, and Arsenal continue their fine run of form. We also do a quick year end recap including our players and team of the year! Happy New Year footy fans!

This week Stevie G returns to Anfield as Villa boss only to fall to his old club, Chelsea grab all 3 points late against Leeds, and Ronaldo rescues Manchester United again! Real Madrid triumph over Atleti in the derby, Inter climb atop Serie A, and Bayern pull further clear of Dortmund. Finally we congratulate NYCFC on their MLS title, and Atlas on their Liga MX Apertura title!

This week Man City put on a clinic at Old Trafford in the Manchester Derby, West Ham blow past Liverpool on the break and in the table, and Arsenal's fine run of form continues! Xavi takes the reins at Barça but not before Celta pull level late, points are shared in yeh Milan Derby, and Leipzig put a hurtin' on Dortmund. Finally, it's our last Wanderers Corner of the season as our boys in blue crash out of playoff contention! This week it gets spicy at the Dragão where Atleti pull one fron the fire to advance in Champions League! West Ham get a late weird one to top Chelsea in a London derby, and Rangnick is victorious in his touchline debut for United. Vini stylin' for Real Madrid, Milan take too spot in Serie A, and controversy in Der Klassiker where Bayern win! Finally we congratulate Atletico Mineiro on their Brasileirao, and Pacific for their CPL title!

This week Manchester United hire Ralf Rangnick of Red Bull fame to take over as gaffer before a move upstairs, and they go into Stamford Bridge and earn a point! Real Madrid and Sevilla entertain as Los Blancos go top of La Liga, Napoli are alone atop Serie A after dominating Lazio, and Dortmund and Bayern are victorious ahead of next weekend's Der Klassiker!
