The Fourth Sunday of Advent at Farmville Baptist Church
Third Sunday of Advent at Farmville Baptist Church
Second Sunday of Advent at Farmville Baptist Church
The Hanging of the Greens is a special service as we begin the season of Advent. We hear the story of Scripture while decorating the church sanctuary for the Advent and Christmas season, accompanied by choral and instrumental music.
In a world filled with so many voices seeking our attention and so many distractions pulling us to and fro, we may sometimes miss what Jesus is calling us to do and who he is calling us to be. In this, we are no different than the earliest disciples, who struggled to fully grasp who Jesus was and what he was doing in the world. In this series, we'll walk with the disciples in Mark's Gospel as Jesus opens their eyes a bit more every step of the way. Maybe, like them, we'll see Jesus a bit more clearly when we reach journey's end.
