Our first ever Chinese New Year episode with Kuah Jenhan. Stand up comedian extraordinaire. Fashionista (He doesn't admit it but we insist he should be up there with your favourite fashion "influencers" on the gram). Jenhan takes on the Chinese New Year test of Chinese New Year tests and does he come away victorious? It all depends on whether you skip through or commit to this entire episode and we highly recommend commitment.  He also proves that he knows his sneakers, tells us about his urge to cop a new wallet from a high end fashion brand and breaks down how much dosh you can make as a seasoned comic here in Malaysia. Zamaera is not only talented on the mic but the girl has also got great, understated style. It's hard to not be mesmerised by her confidence, swagger and intelligence when talking to her but we tried our bestest to keep it together. She's not your typical sneakerhead's sneakerhead as you'll discover when we go over some of her favourite retro kicks and best of all, she has a knack for putting together a great fit, paired with said retros. We cover a lot on this one; her music, what she's not watching on Netflix, how a first date with her goes down. The list is endless so put that seatbelt on and turn the volume up! 

We expected this one to be all fashion and nothing else but we were dead wrong. Penang boys Tunway of FUTUREMADESTUDIO or better known to most by his YouTube moniker "XiaoPiHai" and Shawn, founder of streetwear label AGAINSTLAB blessed our last episode of 2019 with their presence. The boys hail from Penang, the land of amazing food and one would assume that these Penangites could take your taste buds on an amazing, mouth-watering food tour via this podcast right? The first model this has ever seen and hopefully not the last. You probably watched Alicia Amin (@hangriii) on Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 and didn’t even know it because she’s not the type to scream out for attention, in an annoying “reality TV character” type of way. Don’t get us wrong, she can get in your face if she needs to and you’d know that upon meeting her for the first time. 

Alicia breaks down what it’s like to be a “Malay Model” in Malaysia in 2019. Backlash on social media. Traditional media even. It’s a shit storm but she tells us how she manages that, hustles to pay for a mortgage and tries to have fun along the way. All this at only 24 years young. Take some damn notes!

Zee Avi (@zee.avi). Never thought she'd give us the time of day but she graciously said "Yes. I'm down" and here it is, episode 23. Zee put out a new single recently called "Who Are You?" which you should check out on her social media platforms but she didn't come on the pod to talk about music. She walks us through her transition from fashion school to music to signing with Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records and hanging out with Jack White. No biggie. Just Jack White from The White Stripes. Zee also tells us about her undying love for Dyson vacuum cleaners. It's the Zee Avi episode yall! Take some damn notes.

Finally, a true fashionista. Shahrin Bahar has tailored suits for Joe Flizzow and a whole host of Malaysian celebrities and is currently one of the most sought after suit makers in town. The modest father of two has a fashion industry resume that'll make you wonder, why the hell he gave us 2 hours of his life. We will be forever grateful for not just the talent, experience and stories he brought to this episode, but also the inspo to want to rock more suits. Shahrin Bahar dropping some menswear facts. We've had jackets and blazers but never, a three piece suit. Zane chops up everything from the hardships of being an up and coming fashion photographer in NYC, raw denim, wide leg pants and gives you some style tips if you are looking to head down the dapper path. The Deepavali Episode. Indians are funny. We all knew that. Keren (@kerenbdt) though, is on another level of tickles. The anger and fire that lives inside of him could have been used to heat up the deep fryer for the Murukus but he instead brought it onto the pod to school two Chinese boys about traditional Indian wear, oil lamps, kolams and what goes on at the Bala Devan household during Deepavali. In light of this fun, festive time, he  also throws in personal questions about the stimulation of one's genitals for sexual pleasure. Suffice to say, this episode was... wait for it. Wait for it. LIT. 

Season 3 baby! The boys are back and kicking this season off big with the Ming brothers aka the Mingalings aka The Ming Thing aka Ming Han and Ming Yue. You already know who they are but do you know how Ming Han won sneakers at SneakerLAH 2019 worth over RM4,000 and did not even know it? Do you know how the brothers REALLY feel about fellow YouTuber Dan Khoo and his beanie? This one's long but worth every. Single. Second.
