One of the worse type of relationships to be in is an abusive relationship rather verbal or physical. Many people debate on what's verbal abuse or just a simple argument. Well in the same case some would justify physical abuse with you made me do it or I didn't mean too. The biggest thing to me is the sexism in the abuse argument. Most women think they are not capable of abuse because a man is suppose to be strong. Which is worst verbal or physical and why do most women think they are exempt?

I was always told to watch the company you keeping, most believe you are who you hang with some think. Most believe you're in control of your own life and that no one can make you do anything you don't wanna do. Is this saying due to how we would be percieved by others more than the influence the person might have on your life. I heard a preacher say that married couple should hang with married couples to keep each other in line. Should married people hang out with single people?

We have a very bad problem in the black community with being able to support and not judge. When one is successful we are quick to throw the label sellout and most of the time the same people will praise the person who just did a bid in jail. Why is that? Could it be successful people are not looked at as street tough individuals? We know this to be a lie because we all know someone personally that came up from the streets to success. So what's the difference between success and selling out?

Family and friends, the joy and heartaches they can sometimes bring. Love it or hate it that's the way things are sometimes. There are lines that friends and family should not cross and one of them is allowing you to witness something they did that could put you in a bad situation? Would a true friend or family member put you in this kind of situation? Do the code of the street aply to this situation? Would you snitch on a friend or family member?

What was once such a solid foundation has gone sour. We had such a good run but it was good while it lasted. Can we turn it around? The black family and church use to work hand and hand at keeping our family unit going. There was a time you could step out your door on Sunday mornings and see lot's of families heading to church. What went wrong? Why has the dynamics of family and church changed? Is it society changes that caused the downfall of the black family and church?

Is valentines day really all it's cracked up to be? Does not celebrating this day mean you love your boyfriend or girl friend any less? Why are gifts and monetary giving associated with love? Shouldn't love be celebrated everyday? Does the value of the gift determine how much you are loved? Why are we wired this way believing we need a day of love to make each other feel special?

Love is a wonderful thing sometimes it can be trying also with all the ups and downs. What if the down part of the relationship really stood out? I mean like really smacked you in the face? Would you ignore it and continue in the relationship? Would you turn in your pink slip and get to stepping? Why is it so hard for people to realize they are in a terrible relationship? Has this happened to you and how do you know that you're in a bold relationship?

In life we have wins and losses, sometimes it seems we take more losses then wins. When that happens we come to that wonderful place called the cross roads. The reason this place is so wonderful is you have a big decision to make. It often comes down to reevaluating your situation. Should you cut your losses and go in a different direction? Should you continue on the same path till you get that win? Maybe you should consider did I set the bar too high for myself. Is there a such thing as setting the bar too high?
