The FBI provided a tool to a cyber company that allowed it to breach and exploit private businesses and take data. The company then allegedly used the FBI tool to extort businesses, who then faced charges from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for allegedly not protecting their data. This is according to Michael Daugherty, founder of The Justice Society and author of “The Devil Inside the Beltway.”

We speak with Daugherty about how his cancer research company was targeted in the case, and how this relates to a broader scandal of falsified evidence and state-sponsored extortion.
